CaptMurphy Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I want to lock AA into a room with a phone, no food, no water, no toilet facilities, and he can not come out until he has acquired a closer. Enough of this garbage, Cecil just can't handle the job.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Well, no f***ing ground gained AGAIN. TB wins, NYY win, Texas just took the lead, Min gonna win.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Wonder how long before a fire Cecil as closer thread. Lolol
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Embarrassing display from the bullpen.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Like mentioned, the Jays haven't had a lot of save situations because they've been blowing teams out when they've won, but the few they've had, haven't gone well. Cecil seems like he's falling apart in these situations. He's probably better as a 7-8 inning guy. AA needs to find someone who can handle this role better. A legit closer, or someone who can come in and get the job done (someone who isn't your typical closer, or hasn't been one prior), has to be brought in. Cecil had an excuse earlier in the season when he missed time in ST and wasn't ready for the season, but he seems like he just can't handle it now. Maybe that changes if the team gets him more save opportunities, but someone has to slam the door when it's 3 runs or less or else we head to extras, lose, especially if this team wants to compete. Glad they won but it's like sitting on nails and broken glass in the save situations. Too long to read, haven't you learned from the GDT guy? Keep it short
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Gibby use to be hotter. didn't know you liked middle aged men, but if you say so..... lol sorry, you left the barn door open.

JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 OK guys... It got a little closer than we were hoping... But let's not lose site of the star of this game. Marco Estrada. He picked it up and laid it down. Papelbon
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 So sick of Rays scoring 2 or 3 runs and still winning ball games. At least we gained ground on the Orioles. All we can do is keep handling our business.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Who gets hit first tomorrow......Bautista or Jones?

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 Why the Ryan Goins hate in the GDT? Because he sucks.
Doc Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Wonder how long before a fire Cecil as closer thread. Lolol He should've never been a closer. Only reason he is cause the front office don't give a s***, and he strikes out a bunch, nevermind his near 5bb/9.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 Take it back. I don't care how much he can't hit. You take that back right now i take back he sucks because he really sucks. My bad.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 So if you guys are gonna defend Osuna's s*** show cause he didn't give up any hard hits, how come you're going to criticize Cecil for giving up several bloops?

I think a lot of people feel that Osuna is overused, whereas Cecil hasn't been.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I think a lot of people feel that Osuna is overused, whereas Cecil hasn't been. Pretty dumb reasoning. Par for the course, though.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I'm looking at the AL East standings...and I feel disgusted. Could be a lot worse though.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Jays have scored almost twice as many runs as the Phillies LOL
