HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 oh well. A win is a win. but very concerning about Cecil.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Get Papelbon or Clippard or somebody! Cecil just doesn't have it.

Governator Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I can't stand Kevin Barker. Dude needs to be analyzing NASCAR.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 This might be a good thing with Cecil because now the coaches should realize he shouldn't be closing games. who should be closing games?
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Like mentioned, the Jays haven't had a lot of save situations because they've been blowing teams out when they've won, but the few they've had, haven't gone well. Cecil seems like he's falling apart in these situations. He's probably better as a 7-8 inning guy. AA needs to find someone who can handle this role better. A legit closer, or someone who can come in and get the job done (someone who isn't your typical closer, or hasn't been one prior), has to be brought in. Cecil had an excuse earlier in the season when he missed time in ST and wasn't ready for the season, but he seems like he just can't handle it now. Maybe that changes if the team gets him more save opportunities, but someone has to slam the door when it's 3 runs or less or else we head to extras, lose, especially if this team wants to compete. Glad they won but it's like sitting on nails and broken glass in the save situations.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Gibbons and Bucknor have history.... http://mlb.mlb.com/images/2005/06/27/3dskGnrP.jpg
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Jays need a starter and a relief arm. Cecil just doesn't throw enough strikes to trust him.
Doc Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Cecil should be part of the trade for a closer. I do not like this fkin hipster one bit. Can barely hold a 3 run lead. What a disaster. Blame the front office not Cecil he's a decent reviler but not 9th inning type.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 cecil is such a piece of s*** holly lol.... get him away from our team how about you get the f*** away from this team

JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Jays win! Way more uncomfortable than it should have been but I'll take it. Give us Cueto and Papplebon and this team is World Series bound.
