baubau Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 The team calls Goins "Go-Go"? LOL. Even they are telling him to get outta the league.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Just saw Harper's knee. That looks bad. Bad Bad news for the Nationals,
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Another solid team win the pillar take out at second was huge

We all like to rag on Goins but man he has really stepped up with Travis out. Jays don't need his bat but he sure helps to gobble up every routine play that's within a 30' range of him. I'd prefer him in over Tolleson or Kawasaki as a replacement any day.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 lol @ Pablo hiding in the washroom during the game, liking women's photos on instagram. LMAO. Such little brain Good to see Redsox wasting money.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Good chance to put some distance on the O's this weekend. Projected starters for the O's: Friday: Wright/Estrada (Wright has been awful this month.) Saturday: Gausman/Buehrle (Gausman hasn't been great out of the pen.. who knows what the O's will get out of him.) Sunday Tillman/Copeland.. expect a high scoring game in that one. Tillman's been lousy this season.

Yea, I mean I'm not saying "he can stick" as an MLB starter, but when our line up is firing on all cylinders there's really no reason why he shouldn't be on the field to help our pitchers.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 That Blackhawks celebration was about as painful to listen to as it gets.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Good win boys. We outscored Mets 20-8 over the past 4 games too bad we couldn't get one at Citi Field.

LTR Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Good game. f***ing umps can never recognize knuckleball strikes - I don't blame Dickey for getting frustrated. The ball could be right down the middle and if Martin doesn't catch it cleanly it's a ball. Edited June 19, 2015 by LTR

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 2-2 after facing Syndergaard, Harvey, Niese and Colon is pretty decent.
Praxis Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 2-2 after facing Syndergaard, Harvey, Niese and Colon is pretty decent. Agreed, but the way we lost that extra inning game was sickening.....
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Agreed, but the way we lost that extra inning game was sickening..... Ya, it was tough but its in the past. 13-2 in last 15 is the only way to look at it and now right in the thick of the AL East. For the most part really entertaining ball. Offense is fine but everyone knows we need a couple more dependable arms.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Agreed, but the way we lost that extra inning game was sickening..... It was a tough one to swallow, I agree.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 13-2 and we gained 2 games in the div standings... f***in' Yanks... slowing creeping up on that second WC though... I think we play 26 of our last 29 against the AL East(3 against ATL) so if we can hang in there it will all come down to that.

LTR Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Goins makes every single play... routine plays, hard plays, difficult plays. What a treat to watch. Reyes usually makes routine plays, I haven't seen him make a hard or difficult play all year.

I'm going to see them play NY in sept. hoping the jays are in a race or better way out in front being chased.

Statman Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 They were amicable conversations,” Dickey said after working 7 1/3 innings in Toronto’s 7-1 win. “But at the same time, I needed to get a point across and make sure that he understood that (the knuckleball) was moving a lot tonight, and Russ was doing a great job back there. He even admittedly didn’t call one of those strikes a strike three because Russ didn’t catch it. So we had a good conversation about that.” That 3-2 pitch on Ruben Tejada in the second occupied much of the first discussion between Dickey and Wegner. Dickey said some umpires, as a matter of “baseball etiquette, will not call a strike on a pitch the catcher misses because they believe it makes them look bad. Others ignore that tradition. http://news.nationalpost.com/sports/toronto-blue-jays-finally-give-r-a-dickey-some-back-up-in-win-over-new-york-mets Wow! That ump should be suspended and it proves once again they are the worst officials in professional sports.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I didnt' watch the game, how did the Dickster look? Lots of walks but were they blown calls?
Statman Verified Member Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I didnt' watch the game, how did the Dickster look? Lots of walks but were they blown calls? There were about a handful of calls, once really egregious call which would have ended the inning. The bases loaded with all walks should have never happened. Dickey had some struggles the first two innings but looked really sharp after the 3rd.
