Donaldson 40 HR season? 10 games left. 12 games left, and he's slumping a bit. We shall see!

But glad to have three 30/100 guys this year :D

We have a winnable series and the Yankees go up against a playoff-hungry team in the Mets. They face Syndergaard and Harvey too. Gonna be an exciting weekend.

Estrada leading AL now in H/9 allowed.

It'll be interesting to see what AA does with Marco in the offseason. Pretty mediocre peripherals point to him potentially gascanning next year...but he's cheap and has shown the ability to be a very durable arm.

Probably a good sell high candidate though.

What's his contract situation?

Whoops. Misread. Thought he had another year of control.

I did too

I guess this was his ARB-3 year so he's a free agent

Crappy. We got great value on him this year for 3.9M. He put up 3 WAR.

I can't see Estrada being worth a qualifying offer so he's a simple extend or let go...

Edit: I don't think so anyway. He will get multi-year offers, and it would help our bargaining position with him. But I doubt AA would want to risk getting stuck with him at 1 year 15M or whetever the QO ends up being this year.

Is MLB still planning on moving to a two-tier QO system at some point???

If he is willing to sign a cheaper 2 year deal he would be not a bad risk for a back end guy/long guy if he does gas can. SP depth is always needed.... But if he is looking to find a sucker to pay him more then let him go.

hes got 39 HR and there are 16 games left

hes averaged a HR 6% of his AB. Based on averages he will hit another 4.32 HR

1.6 according to fwar. Not great but good enough

Kay if he does not hit EXACTLY 4.32 HR more, I will come find you and you won't be happy.

I think he is worth the risk on QO but picking up RA option may change that. This season is an outlier for him but even if we overpay for one year the market for SP is going to be stupid. He is insurance lie picking up a RA option. But now you are putting $27mm on table.

Pretty funny/cool song about the Jays I came across.

I hate the Mount Crushmore stuff. First of all it's so American, and the Tigers have used it. As have about 10 football teams. Make a Toronto or at least Canadian reference.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/five-takeaways-200-innings-possible-for-jays-buehrle/

Buehrle has pitched between 202-205.1 innings in each of the last four seasons, so he has had close calls before. Depending on how his remaining three starts go, the Blue Jays could even get creative, potentially finding another game for him to pitch.

“You could see him again if it meant a shot at that,” Gibbons said. “That’s an incredible milestone. I don’t want to be the guy that he misses out under.”

Anybody have a link to that video the guy put together a while ago on the Blue Jays? He posted it here and I gave him s*** (which I shouldn't have) because I thought it was a virus.
