Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Nope. The Yankees rotation is pretty good. The reason they sucked was because their offense was doing s***. The Jays right now are overachieving, as all teams are when they are on a hot streak. It will be a tight finish between the two teams and possibly Baltimore. Exactly the Jays pitching is not going to keep pitching to a tune of EAR below 2.00. it is unsustainable. It's not going to be easy.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Better figure it out soon, everything is selling out. Yeah I just bought tickets for the Yanks series in September. They were already almost gone (OF 100 and field bases were 98% gone from what I could tell) so anyone looking to get face value tickets better hurry.
Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Playing with your butt hole clenched is also the enemy. There is literally no reason for the Jays to be worried about anyone. They're a top 5 team in baseball. I didn't say the jays should be worried.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 At the start of the season most people thought the Yankees were too old and would break down in the second half. It's the second half, and they are breaking down. No doubt they have strong pitching but the way Girardi is overtaxing their bullpen, that is going to breakdown eventually too imo. But then, I'm a homer.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 You are from he future? The Yanks are still a good team it's not going to be easy, they have not won a thing yet. Over confidence is the enemy, never underestimate your opponent. You know what's worse than overconfidence? No confidence. Not that it matters because neither of us is playing.
fireballW Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I really like that the team has had different guys stepping up to get it done. Goins 3 run bomb today, Smoaks salami on the weekend... we know the top 3 will produce a lot of our runs but it's not going to be every game. need all 9 guys to pitch in and that has been happening. the bottom half was getting on and moving the line last winning streak too. In Sweden for 2 days. Nice place here. Will hopefully be able to stay up and watch the Jays game live.

Followthelight Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I think the Yanks take it to us this weekend....The jays run is unsustainable and the Yanks are coming in here looking for revenge, I think we lose 2 of 3 or get swept. A dose of reality.

Jays are a better team IMO, just luck will turn on us for a bit, pitching is going to fall back some, I think we win the division, just think we lose the series against a team that is desperate to turn some momentum around.

ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 The Yankees have 11 streaks of 3 or more wins. Without those streaks, they've barely won a game.
baubau Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 He's onto something. If the Yankess never played a game this season, they'd be undefeated! HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 @CharlesGattinBP If you don't count all the games the Jays won, they've lost 52 straight, which has got to be some kind of record.
