TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Not so bold but entirely baseless prediction of the day (in which I have no confidence in whatsoever): the Jays make a trade today.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 BBBB went full BBBB, never again BBBB
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 BBBB went full BBBB, never again BBBB Huh Wtf are you talking about ? Maybe go back and read what I originally posted. What I wrote was factual and a interesting tidbit ! Then twisted jumped me thinging he should be judge and jury of that statement for the board and again added nothing to the discussion. This is why so many never post here! This requires the mods to stop senseless attacks on other members by A-holes like twisted and the hive! And you why do you feel compelled to even post what you did, statements like that do nothing to help or add anything of value to the board! So FYSMC!

For all you know, your incredible discovery intrigued me to the point of speechlessness, and that image was a reflection of that.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Right play the misunderstood card to try and hide the fact of what you did. Wow just sad twisted!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 is Pompey on the plane to Seattle? he owns Felix Lol
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Don't know if this holds true as I only looked at the top 20 pitchers on Espn stats this morning and found a interesting and odd fact while I did. Thought maybe the Cyborg might be able to expand or confirm this on a whole for leagues or in whole. Outliers said most pro players are born in the first 6 months of the year hockey soccer etc! What I found was interesting so I thought I would share this with you here. With the top 20 players by wins in the American league 65 percent of them where in fact born in the first 6 months. What makes this interesting is when switching to the NL the percentage where reversed as 65 percent of the pitchers in the top twenty looked at where born in the last 6 months of the year! Found this odd that American league pitchers are born in the first six months and national league pitchers in the last six! Crazy s*** if it holds up through out the leagues as a whole one would think! Or if this is true of posistion players too by leagues! Hmmmmmmmm Hmm, this is interesting! Would you be willing to do the position player side of this as well? Break them down by position and then by league again? I'd love to see if your hypothesis holds true.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Lol I chuckled too, somebody owning King felix. Hilarious!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I chuckled too, somebody owning King felix. Hilarious! He did hit a homer off him that one time! Definitely enough to know that Pompey owns him.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Jayson Stark #Padres listening on at least half their staff. But they “really want to move” both James Shields and Andrew Cashner, other teams say
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Shark+Eaton for Pompey+ No...but just to compare, whitesox fans are saying Shark for Stroman, you can tell which fan base is beyond delusional
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 No...but just to compare, whitesox fans are saying Shark for Stroman, you can tell which fan base is beyond delusional i'd be ok with Pompey+Castro for Eaton and Shark would be a pretty fair deal imo.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 i'd be ok with Pompey+Castro for Eaton and Shark would be a pretty fair deal imo. It would, I just don't like Eaton. I'd prefer to roll the dice with Pompey
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 It would, I just don't like Eaton. I'd prefer to roll the dice with Pompey Eatons a bit miscasted in CF but would be a nice defender in LF and could play CF in a emergency. Eaton>Pompey for this year which is a big deal.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 As with any trade, it depends on the price. Shark would be a good fit for this team down the stretch. I agree... but Shark is probably not enough for this team to get there.
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 What does this mean? Baseball Prospectus says the Jays have a 46.2% chance of making the playoffs. Shark would probably push them over 50%. Don't forget the recent news of the Rays and O's heavily contemplating selling. That would just ratchet up our chances more. As well as the Tigers selling... yeah. We gotta make a push IMO if that's all true.

Shark would probably push them over 50%. They're in great position to make some moves and go for it. Buehrle Shark Dickey Estrada Hutch would need to have a much better second half. would moving Sanchez back to the pen be enough to solve problems there? Is Stroman still talking about pitching in Sept? once again, it's a matter of what the price would be.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Stroman makes his own hat at the New Era Headquarters.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I remember that HR. Crushed and pimped it. That wasn't Dalton. That was Ryan (long pause) Pompey. /Buck Martinez

As well as the Tigers selling... yeah. We gotta make a push IMO if that's all true. And those projections predict Minnesota to collapse down the stretch (very likely.. they're at least a year away.). Minnesota just doesn't have the depth to stay competitive down the stretch, mostly due to pitching and ownership unlikely to make any significant additions, as they are still rebuilding (they're 21-25 since that 20-7 May)
