On his Twitter page he says "Pitcher in the Toronto Blue Jays organization Eustis, FL"

Three right-handers are at stalemates with the club that drafted them: Eustis (Fla.) High's Brady Singer with the Blue Jays and Flowery Branch (Ga.) High's Jonathan Hughes with the Orioles in the second round, and Kentucky's Kyle Cody with the Twins in the supplemental second round. Hughes, a Georgia Tech recruit with an assigned value of $907,000 at No. 68, appears to me the most likely of that trio to sign.

Singer, who has committed to Florida, has a slot value of $1,091,200 at No. 56. Cody's value at No. 73 is $839,700.

I think that's his point. The value of the free education he turned down is the same as the bonus. So yeah it's a coup for the Jays.
