GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 We'll find out sooner or later. We found out Bryant wasn't even offered a deal what does that have to do with anything
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 what does that have to do with anything Its Kris Bryant, he's always relevant
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 No, this is just the Jays MO. They draft highly and fail to sign a high school RHP every year, lol. Well Bickford and Beede had bad physicals so theres that...
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Well Bickford and Beede had bad physicals so theres that... Beede didn't - he just wanted more money. You're wrong, so, umm.. there's that.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Well Bickford and Beede had bad physicals so theres that... You're pretty condescending for being wrong considering there was nothing on Beede being injured http://mlbreports.com/2011/08/21/beede/ http://www.thestar.com/sports/baseball/2011/08/16/jays_fail_to_sign_top_pick_tyler_beede_but_reach_deal_with_pitcher_dan_norris.html http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/16/blue-jays-pick-tyler-beede-is-only-first-rounder-not-to-sign/ http://m.mlb.com/news/article/23258636/ There appeared to be a large gap between the two sides during the final week of negotiations, and they never got close to getting something done. Beede was reportedly looking for $3.5 million, while the Blue Jays were willing to offer one million short of that. "They were still far off," Beede told the Worcester (Mass.) Telegram and Gazette. "They ended up getting to $2.5 million, but that still wasn't what we valued the Vanderbilt education at. It was obviously the hardest decision I've ever had to make, but I'm tremendously excited." So there's that.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Beede didn't - he just wanted more money. You're wrong, so, umm.. there's that. you beat me but I did it better
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 you beat me but I did it better longer does not = better. ask yer mum
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I just did, she's all about girth.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I don't even remember any rumours about Bickford having a bad physical
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I don't even remember any rumours about Bickford having a bad physical Pretty sure there was something but it was probably just the Jays leaking stuff to look better
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Pretty sure there was something but it was probably just the Jays leaking stuff to look better Most certainly. Like every time a Boston sports team trades someone, and then the world finds out that they were either soft or a clubhouse cancer or put mayonnaise on their french fries.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Most certainly. Like every time a Boston sports team trades someone, and then the world finds out that they were either soft or a clubhouse cancer or put mayonnaise on their french fries. that is disrespectful
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Most certainly. Like every time a Boston sports team trades someone, and then the world finds out that they were either soft or a clubhouse cancer or put mayonnaise on their french fries. legitimate trade justification
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Singer officially not signing. It really doesn't matter. When you get these protected picks back next year, you might as well go for higher upside / tougher signs. I don't mind the draft strategy. Beede --> Stroman Bickford --> Pentecost Singer --> ??? They've also managed to sign guys like Norris and Smoral, who were in the same mold as Singer. When the only potential cost is a lost year, just use the compensation pick and draft a college dude.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Didn't his twitter account said he's a Blue Jays pitcher? Does not matter at all
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I'm going to change my twitter account to show that I'm not gay lol. Yo arreglé eso por ti. Love u bro.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I'm going to change my twitter account to show that I'm a Blue Jays pitcher. If the Jays picked you in the draft that same year, i would definitely take your word for it. That's not the point though, the point is it shows intent and then something changed.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 If you don't have mayonnaise with your Moules-frites, you're doing it wrong.
