What's more painful is Martin has only caught 1 game in this series because of Thole and Gibbons boner for Navarro.

 

Even thought Martin might be beat up and needs a couple days off? Could be why he is struggling at the plate as well.

Actually, Kevin Barker, Mark Buehrle is not being himself because Mark Buehrle is a pitcher. He doesn't need to know how to control the bat or break up a double play or know how to bunt.

 

Not all american league pitchers can do the rest of the baseball thing. Buehrle is old school and plays hard. Not all pitchers are "real" athletes. the modern game coddles them and for some guys they don't focus on being able to do everything well.

 

when there is a pop up in the center of the infield the saying is "the pitcher needs to get out of the way and let an athlete catch the ball. Buehrle is not one of those guys.
