Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I've enjoyed watching Estrada. Never gives in and never seems intimidated. Has a couple plus pitches to work with. What plus pitches? Elaborate please

LTR Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Pillar's WAR surely doubled after tonight. Edit: Yes, actually it exactly doubled 0.3 to 0.6.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Pillar's WAR surely doubled after tonight. Edit: Yes, actually it exactly doubled 0.3 to 0.6. Thats hilarious. According to WAR he provided as much value in one game as he did for the first 50+ games combined.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Pillar claims to have made an adjustment to his timing. Let's see
goeb Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Pillar homering twice off Scherzer...I thought it was a dream until I woke up this morning. Hopefully this gets Kevin going, but pretty sure it was just an anomaly.

Smokey Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Great, so Pillar makes a few flashy catches and he's suddenly labeled as "one of the best outfielders in the game" by AA and is handed the CF job despite his 59 wRC+ before yesterday's game. Then he hits a couple of HRs and now I'm hearing Gibby say things like "it couldn't have happened to a better guy" making it sound like he's suddenly discovered his hidden talents or something. This is a guy who hasn't proven to be anything more than a decent 4th outfielder and although his defence isn't bad, there's no way he should be viewed as a permanent solution at CF. I wouldn't be surprised though if he ends up getting a longer rope than JPA.

Ambassador Ch0n Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 So Spanky's day was to get up at noon, s***, maybe have something to eat and get trashed all day while watching a Toronto Blue Jays double header. The guy is LITERALLY a welfare alcoholic, what do you expect? He's just trash that belongs on everyone's ignore list like a few others around here.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 That's what I was thinking... trying to remember who the good managers in the 80s and if they are still around. Sparky Anderson... no he died a few years ago. Bobby Cox? He got things started in 1985. Circle of Life, and all that.
