LTR Verified Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Rofl! Tells you what Gibby thinks of our pen
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Travis doesnt play SS and you dont sit Travis bat for Goins glove. Moving Reyes to LF means moving Saunders to CF which doesnt make sense either, just sacrifices middle outfeild defense for middle infield defense. And quite frankly, Goins isnt nearly good enough of a player to warrant moving around half of your team to get him out there, even if he does have an above average glove. Plus this team is gonna have a hard enough time getting Collabello's bat in the lineup as it when Saunders and Bautista come back. So yeah, Reyes is gonna be our SS love it or hate it. I never said I want Reyes to play 2nd for us. I like him but he is not close to value for cost. I think he should end his career at 2nd ...somewhere else. But I doubt we can move him. If we do it will still be costly. His has a + arm and quick release but he its erratic. Goins is a glove...and will be in AAA. Some think 2nd and SS are interchangeable and not much difference. I disagree. I don't see Travis @ SS either.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Maybe Gibby figures since Sanchez is starting tomorrow the BP needs plenty of rest.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Buehrle going 9 innings! Holy s*** what a gamer this guy is. One of my all time favs.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 If Bautista ever gets back in to RF, keeping EE at 1B to have Colabello's bat as DH is a possibility... though I think getting Smoak back at 1B is more valuable considering he gets on base at a high clip as well.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 fire giby now You prefer to go to the pen that has blown countless games over the guy that has 7 shutout innings? FIRE YOU
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Kyle Gibson pitches tomorrow. Is he any good? I see his ERA is sub 3.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 fire giby now Buehrle gave up 1 hit and saw the min batters for the last 7 innings...why are you surprised he left him out there? Are you surprised he got three up three down in the 9th?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Awesome start...great game men! Nice to come off the mat and pick up the W!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 What a gut-out performance by Buehrle! Complete game win! Jays could be only 2.5 back if the Yankees lose (down 4-1 to the A's as we speak.)
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Wow MARK BURLY. Sorry I called you a fraud.
S33n Verified Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 This is going to be one of those games where we lost 4-3 and Tabler's going to be like "Buherle pitched a great game"... Almost!
bluebird Verified Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 You prefer to go to the pen that has blown countless games over the guy that has 7 shutout innings? FIRE YOUcecil is fine
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 So much dumb in this thread at the beginning, Buehrle retire and Buehrle you're s***
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Cecil is pretty trust worthy. I would prefer if he was not the closer but he should be solid in that role. We will likely need him more tomorrow though. Buehrle has been dominant since the second inning. it's crazy that Cecil only has 2 saves and only has had 3 opportunities.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 God daMN it, I love it when it rains!!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 So much dumb in this thread at the beginning, Buehrle retire and Buehrle you're s*** Yup = he is doing what he always does. His start in 2013 was s*** too and he bounced back.
