Goins is not an every day player and might not even be with the team when Travis comes back. Why move Reyes to 2b temporarily?

 

I have never argued Reyes should be moved to 2nd temporarily. He should be @ 2nd permanently to finish his career.

 

I only mentioned Goins because he is such an obviously better SS...AAA player that he is.

Arm doesn't help much when he cant get to balls and the ones he does he boots too often. 2nd is his best option. Doesn't hurt to have + arm at 2nd to turn DPs and for off balance throws when going to the right up the middle.

There's really not much difference between 2nd and SS. The range would still be an issue but his arm would be wasted.
