canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday, both Reyes and Travis will be back in the line up. Then Reyes will be out...I like Reyes but he isn't the difference maker here. Travis can be solid. Improve the SP and the bench bats

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Think the Batz batting DH thing is really f*** the roster management a limiting move within the game! Do we even have a advances stat guy! Think joey lifetime .077 against weaver with 0 Hr, Smoak I think was 300+ and 3hr against weaver too and he sat! Wtf! Logic says the injured Batz sits, EE slides to DH giving him a break and Smoak starts at 1st. But the Jays just say f*** Logic, FYSMC this team! Omg lol
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Not if the AL East remains as garbage as it is right now. Even the Yankees are fading. Yup.. The AL East will could be won by putting together a nice stretch come late August and September. Just have to stay within striking distance.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday, both Reyes and Travis will be back in the line up. definitely a step in the right direction, but we need pitching as well and I'm not sure where that is going to come from.

LTR Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I'll take Houston. Nationals ftw Great picks!
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Yup.. The AL East will could be won by putting together a nice stretch come late August and September. Just have to stay within striking distance. Not gonna happen with this s*** rotation

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 The problem is they allready tried to change the President but couldn't get the guy they wanted... now everything is in a holding pattern. Gibby will be sacraficed in a few days... so the people will get a bit of a sacrafice. Real change begins in October. Doubt they'll get it right. So Kenny Williams then?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 definitely a step in the right direction, but we need pitching as well and I'm not sure where that is going to come from. The existing staff has to step up. Sanchez and Hutch had good starts in the last two games and Buerhle seems to be rounding back to his old self. Dickey needs to wake up (i doubt it though) and hopefully Norris gets back soon.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I for one am f***ing shocked this team now is getting good pitching and they can't hit for s***. f*** this team!
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 No. I'm curious to hear how adding a couple of 2-3 WAR players over replacement level scrubs won't help?
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I for one am f***ing shocked this team now is getting good pitching and they can't hit for s***. f*** this team! That's what happens when the offense is built around the long ball.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 So Kenny Williams then? Names like Kenny Williams and Dan Duquette have not been inspiring but better than Beeston I guese. It is to bad AA has turned out to be such an idiot. At one point people were thinking he'd be president and higher someone smarter than him to be GM.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 So Kenny Williams then? Could Williams and whoever he hires as GM really be any worse than AA/Beeston have been since the winter of 2012?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 The Devil you know and the Devil you don't know! For all we know AA with a New baseball minded boss will or might be better too!
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Dare I say some of our starting pitching is starting to look closer to average at least. Hutch, Sanchez, Buehrle, Estrada are throwing better. At this point Dickey still doesn't have it and Monday's shitshow with Redmond starting didn't help the bullpen out. If they can't make a move for a starting pitcher, at the very least they got to be able to make something happen and improve the bullpen's depth. Hell, go rent Rafael Soriano for the season, he has to be more reliable than most arms we got and won't cost an asset.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Also LHP Luis Perez should be called up at some point for relief, he's starting to find his groove again after having Tommy John. He started in Buffalo but got roughed up bad and since has been up and down between Bisons and Fisher Cats all season. His last 6 games has been 10IP 0ER 9K 3BB 5H. I hope keeps it up, I really liked him a couple years ago.

We'll probably see Perez at some point, but he's not on the 40-man at the moment while Rob Rasmussen is and has been just as good over 18 IP.

Basically just looking for other options, I know he's not on the 40. He has major league experience though and was finding success at that level before going down.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 We're gonna need another lefty soon if Loup continues to s*** the bed. I haven't checked the splits but how is Doubront doing?
