  1. 1. Who Will Gibbons Fight?

    • Bautista - resulting in a career ending shoulder injury.

Damn, really?!? Good for you, man! I'm not a terrible golfer, but I'm certainly not great. I reckon my handicap is in the 12-15 range. I have a friend that I used to golf with who is a legitimate scratch golfer. It's really fun to watch and I definitely improved a lot just by playing with him.

When my handicap was 12 (I didn't start playing till 35 yrs old), the way I got it down into the single digits was by increasing percentage of up and downs. Two hours a day for a month at the chipping green meant shaving 4-5 shots off a round by chip/one putt and the odd chip in. Spend 2 hours a week on chipping/putting green now to maintain.

Helped that the private course was 5 mins at the office and at 5 pm there was no one on the practice green.

I said other. I want Gibby to fight next potential GMs of the Blue Jays as part of the interview process.

We don't need another Fat Soft man... but we can't automatically assume that all fat men are soft. And we can't assume fit men are battle hardened.

Just have them fight Gibby. If they put a good fight they pass that part of the interview... even if they lose the fight.

We just don't want a weak individual like AA... so maybe Gibby has to fight AA and Wilner first. So we can calibrate it.

I assume Gibby will beat the crap out of anyone. So we see how long AA and Wilner last.. then we have an idea how soft fat men will hold up to the power of Gibby. Then the other guys need to do better, at least put up a bit of a fight.

I approve of this message... Cage match to the Death... Gibby wins this round easy! Next Gm, Anouncer up!

What if it ends up being like the Dick Cheney thing... Dick Cheney was hired to find the next vice president of the United States. The candidates all crumbled during the interview process and in the end only Cheney himself was left standing. Come to think of it that is how Paul Beeston ended up with the President's job the second time...

Gibby for GM??

I think Gibbons will kick his own ass just so he doesn't have to try to figure out who to call in from the bullpen in close games.
