I see what's happening

Why not just admit you don't fully know what kind of hitter he will be.

I expect he'll outperform his projections which mark him as average. His K and BB rates look pretty stable but the power numbers are inflated even after this slump.

Fair enough

7 IP, 0 runs, 2 H

You think walking the park and not striking anyone out will lead to few runs scored everytime?

Lol

We need Sanchez to have another good game and continue to improve

You mean you want the defense and offense to save Sanchez again?

Never said that. He is going to increase his Ks, but there will be games where teams just hit gb after gb. Other games he may get hit and other he could walk everyone while getting hit. As long as he is improving and keeping us in games it's a good outing.

As far as tonight I say 7 IP, 3 runs, 7 Ks, 4 BBs

Sure, I'll take that.

I was listening to Wilner today and he said that Stroman, Norris and Sanchez are on the same level (if not better) than Syndergaard

I would agree with Stroman, because Stroman has already shown that he can be a front line starter at the MLB level. The other two, Norris I think would be close, and the jury is out on Sanchez

The real question here is why are you listening to Mike Wilner in the first place?

On what basis are you making the assumption that the K's will increase? He doesn't get many swinging strikes, and those strongly correlate to strikeouts.

On the basis that he's a Blue Jay. You're not going to get a logical response out of him.

I think that there are people here who would readily trade a healty Stroman for Syndergaard today

No there aren't.

Zaun just said that the Jays might not see Bautista in the field again all year, so they should trade Reyes and make Goins the everyday shorstop.

Zaun is Gruber confirmed.

The continued development of the curveball and increasing the amount of strikes he throws each game. If he does this umpires will call more strikes and the comeback fastball will actually be effective in getting called Ks. Once this happens hitters will begin to offer at the curve more increasing the swinging skies and Ks

But this is crazy talk since his projections don't take this into account. But according to some this is rumblings of a mad man lol

I doubt it. However, they aren't very far off from each other.

I think it's been proven that getting called strikeouts isn't very sustainable.
