Once a band aid always a band aid

When a guy who has had multiple hamstring injuries gets another hamstring injury, it's fair to say you probably should have known that could happen. Saunders stepped on a sprinkler head. It doesn't get any more freak or unpredictable than that. If your point is that Saunders is cursed and the Jays should have known that, then I guess your point is well taken.

Cursed with the injury bug is a real thing among the players.

I don't know but it feels like our injury mgm is terrible.

From Lind last year to getting Reyes and Saunders back in the line up half assed only to loose them again for longer chunks after half assed injured stints of play.

It was obvious that both Saunders and Reyes were still hurt...and ineffective.

I wonder if Reyes would be willing to play the outfield. If Saunders is out long term, I'd rather have goins at short, and Reyes out in left.

I remember there was some talk of this in 2013

Reyes wouldn't go for it. Goins is a great glove. He just cant f***ing hit enough to stick.

Sending Pompey down was such a mistake. The extra 10 games of him in the OF likely doesn't harm him long term and would of allowed him some extra ABs to try to find his place, also an upgrade over Carrera...

Lol wonder if Saunders just wished he got the Meniscus repaired after all....

Saunders suxx

Deported to Cuba. A ban just isn't enough for you Ang.

But this sucks for Saunders. The guy was clearly rushed and should have still been rehabbing in the minors.

it was torned beyond repair. The decision to remove it wasn't based on the recovery time, but rather that it couldn't be repaired.

So they would rather have Tolleson or Valencia in the OF then Pompey? WTF? I hope the Jays lose some games due to poor OF play in the next few days to smarten them up.

Yeah they should have kept Pompey up. Dude never even had a chance to turn it around. Even Allstars struggle badly for a month in the MLB.

Yeah, they jerked Pompey around on this one. f***ing idiots.

Until yesterday, Saunders had not played since the 3rd. Either this team's medical staff is incompetent or this front office doesn't listen to the staff's recommendations. Either way, incompetence is involved.

Anyway...

Did they DFA Guilmet for this?

This is what I can't believe. We just keep blowing young depth arms off the 40 man for short term moves. I'm mystified by the moves of the last month.

stopping his service time wasn't the worst thing in the world.

Why not send him to Buffalo to start the year if this was why they sent him down?

First they moved him off CF, then they sent him down. Pillar can't hit RHP and is now playing every day. They're hurting their own chances of success, but it's their bed to lie on.

So on Friday, Saunders's kneee was feeling "100% better", after not playing since May 3.

Played yesterday and is put on DL today. s*** like this just keeps on happening...anyway.
