Jays in 2015 All Star Game

It's still early in the season, but we are almost at the halfway point of when the 2015 All Stars are selected.

 

Who do you guys think will make the cut? I'll keep a running tally in the OP.

 

My predictions. 3 All Stars.

 

Who makes it and deserves to:

 

- Donaldson (a lock given his performance to date and position)

- Martin (same as Donaldson)

- Bautista (he'll heat up by mid-June and will get the fan votes)

 

Who won't make it but deserves to:

- Travis (I think he'll end the season with an .800 OPS and 15 HR, 80 RBIs and be the unanimous ROY. but guys like Cano, Kinsler, Altuve, and Kipnis will get the ASG nod)

- Encarnacion (he's already heating up and will have ASG worthy numbers by late-June, but given that 3 Jays are locks, might be hard-pressed to make it ahead of Cabrera, Hosmer, Abreu, and Davis)

- Osuna (I don't think he'll implode like Castro did and he's already performing like a top-end reliever. But he won't make the cut this year. Perhaps someday in the future as a starter)

Based on previous voting, I think Bautista and Donaldson will get voted in, with Martin standing a decent chance of getting voted in too.

 

Travis might get in with the coaches if he keeps playing like he has been, but I think he'll probably have cooled off by then and probably miss out.

 

Edwin probably has a hot May/June and gets in with the coaches, but he'll never get voted in.

With the starts they've had they seem like they all should be able to get in if they stay healthy.
