L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Obviously. Jose did. EE did. Colabello will surely follow suit.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 he did the same thing last year with the twins, probably has a hole in his swing that the pitchers eventually figure out.
LTR Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Looks like he's playing totally s*** faced, but some how manages to square up the ball now and then. Reminds me of this guy: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/NaKBQWLRJqw/maxresdefault.jpg
tercet Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 He is 95% a AAAA hitter Maybe he could be a platoon bat if given an opportunity, but he won't get an extended look here once everyone is healthy.
Caper Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 If he wasn't so ugly, I'd think he'd have a better chance.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 anxious to hear Gruber's opinion Platoon bat ceiling.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 anxious to hear Gruber's opinion Absolutely. If we are going to forgive Gruber it can't be based on 50 at bats by Ryan Goins. We need to know all the players he thinks will stick, and the players who won't... I think we need at least 2000 plate appearances for most of the stats to stabalize... So even if Goins somehow plays full time we will be waiting 4 years to find out. If Gruber lets us know several players who will stick and several who won't we can get a couple of thousand plate appearance quicker and then figure out if we can forgive him.

SparkyAnderson Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 4-4 today, 2-4 yesterday. Discuss. Classic Moses troll post
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Still think he is playing way above himself, but man he handled that at bat perfectly. Didn't panic.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Still think he is playing way above himself, but man he handled that at bat perfectly. Didn't panic. besides that first pitch. He can still get too swing happy but you can't take his bat out of the lineup right now with the hit streak lol.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 besides that first pitch. Just took it up the middle with the infield in.
nextyear Verified Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 One of my favourite players right now. I hope that he can learn the LF position, then Smoak can get more games at 1st.
IronLadle Verified Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 He's played well enough that when were back to full strength, he should be playing ahead of Smoak
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 He's played well enough that when were back to full strength, he should be playing ahead of Smoak Agreed. Colabello should play ahead of Smoak, for now.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I feel like Chris Colabello might be the baseball gods way of paying us back for Steve Pearce.
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 You ride the hot hand, he cannot sustain this pace however.
bluejays19 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I hope he keeps it up to stick around. This guy is truly humble. I was at a game and he came upto the 3rd base area and waited for fans to show up for signature signing. He must've signed 50 signatures. Love him!

Then there's guys like Pompey who are douche bags.
