Man if he ever learns patience at the plate he could really be something.

 

Pillar doesn't walk much period, but had an uncanny ability in getting the barrel to the baseball. I've watched him play several times in Buffalo, and although it's AAA pitching, he does that so well.

I am not saying Pillar is a god but some posters around here think he's replacement level. The guy is a very good defender/base runner and doesn't get destroyed by RHP there is big time value with him.

I think Pillar is going to be a great MLB player, this guy has so much heart how can anyone not like him. That incident with Gibbons last year was perfect for the Guys development. I can see him in CF for the Jays for many years to come!

 

I recall reading a scouting report on Pillar from baseball prospectus a few years back. They talked about how he would most likely end up being an org guy, but that if he was going to make it to the show, it was because he was "scrappy". They elaborated by saying that Pillar is really good at "fouling" balls off.

Pompey needs more time in AAA.

 

I think it's clear his weakness. Pitch him either away or up. He'll pull the ball into a pop up

Just turned on the game. Norris come out just due to pitch count?

 

He didn't look too good, mind you he was only squared up like once or twice, and pitched out of multiple jams

 

Think the weather had somehting to do do with it as well.

I just dont understand this move. Francis was pitching well, there was no need for this. Its only the sixth inning

 

Gibby has been doing that a lot lately, don't like his bullpen management this year.
