I know it's easy to argue this in hindsight, but with Bautista out and Smyly on a pitch count why wouldn't they just use Saunders in LF? You're sitting him vs a limited innings LHP in favour of a player who isn't an outfielder... doesn't make sense to me.

there are going to be a lot of people calling for heads to roll after this. If Saunders is not ready we should have called up a pure outfielder instead of playing Tolleson in LF. If Saunders is good to go why is he not in the game. why is Smoak not at first. why is Ed not DHing??

I'd disagree. it's hard to get used to playing in a vacuum like that. players feed off energy from the crowd. the trop is like being on a different planet. except for the stupid cow bells it's very quiet. there is no other park like it.
