The rays own the jays. sucks.

 

they didn't own us today. today the jays imploded on themselves. it's one game and now it's over. tomorrow is a whole new ball game.

It's not really Tolleson's fault. He's not an outfielder. You can't expect good defense in that situation. You just have to hope not a ton of balls are hit to him. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

 

1-4 against the the Rays. Ugh. At least win the next two, guys.

Personally I like owning the Orioles' asses more than I dislike the Rays owning ours'. Would be better if they could win against them at home, but that shithole of a stadium in Tampa is depressing to play in for everyone but the Rays (and them too, frankly). Boston and New York get their transplant fans to come out, but other than that, it's a dead zone.

 

Not really an excuse for losing, but kicking the Orioles to the curb satisfies me too much.

It is, especially with Travis's start, which will obviously come back down to earth. I do think Pompey's gonna improve on what we've seen so far.

 

Hopefully Gibby plays Smoak more regularly.

If Reyes can still only hit RH vs RHP I'd drop him down in the lineup. He's looked terrible so far. Obviously won't happen but just something I'd do personally. Thats why its usually never a good idea to play injured because usually the player sucks so there is nothing gained by them "playing through it"

I'd probably go Smoak/Martin/Saunders at least at first. Smoak can hit and Saunders is rusty. It also has the advantage of a S/R/L/R/S dynamic at the bottom of the lineup.

Agree. With the way Travis has been swinging the bat of late I don't see them moving him down. Obviously he's going to regress but even if he hits half of what he is doing right now that is really good.

Yeah, just saw that. Wonder why Gibby chose to give CF to Pillar today over Pompey. Hopefully this doesn't become a trend... I'd like to see Pompey in CF every day.

Assuming they wanna get Pillar in CF for a reason then why not have Saunders' stronger arm in right as opposed to Pompey's weaker arm
