Even people/fans who don't like Bautista are taking his side here. You get thrown at, then take the guy deep? You get to strut a little. The team that threw at you doesn't get to complain about it. Sorry.

the trott isn't the fun part. the fun part is the f*** you pose as he drops the bat staring out at the pitcher. priceless

if we're lucky Bautista shows life now.

Hopefully a few more fans get out to Rogers Centre tonight with the increased Rivalry. Less than 15000 last night for a terrific game. Even if we can get over the 20 000 mark so there is a bit more of an atmosphere.

Garcia is a good option to plunk someone intentionally. As he said, he's a rule V pick and a terrible pitcher with no control. Who would they want to lose to a suspension? Britton or Garcia?

Exactly. Orioles fans are completely delusional. Oh, he's a Rule 5 guy and therefore he obviously just missed (by a laughable margin)....why is he on the team then if he can't even keep the ball from going behind a batter? Better yet, if it was accidental then why didn't he make some sort of gesture to indicate "my bad"? I'd assume that would the first thing a no-name Rule 5 pitcher would do after throwing a ball behind a star player IN A BLOWOUT. The whole thing is so obvious it is laughable that they are actually trying to spin the "accident" excuse. Its a blowout, the inning prior Encarnacion launched a ball into the 5th deck, and in comes a no-name pitcher the very next inning and launches a ball behind Bautista who they've been "targeting" for two years now...with a ball ending up behind him just a week ago! Nothing suspicious there at all.

it was always going to be a low attendance day with 18k watching the Raps get bent over the counter top.

Bautista is having a pretty good season anyways just no luck. 18% BB rate 20% K rate and iso of .277. His BABIP is under .100 which makes his stats look a lot worse than they are.

Yeah other those first few games where he was striking out 3 times each game, he has looked good. Driving balls to the outfield and getting his walks.

Does anyone know if Rule 5 guys satisfy their MLB time if they get suspended?

They do. Andrew McKirahan of the Braves is a Rule 5 guy and was suspended 80 games for stanozolol use. He will remain a Brave.

Why don't we have an Adam Jones is a douche thread?

Because we don't feel the need to start a new thread about every thought that pops into our heads here. For Orioles' fans, having a thought pop into their heads is a threadworthy event.

My best friend has a cousin who pitches for the Orioles. Hope no one beats him up when stuff gets crazy.

Orioles hangout has a 17 page dedicated to Jose Bautista lol..

The worst part of reading any of the O's fans reactions is them trying to claim it wasn't intentional. I called it at the start of that inning that Jose would get thrown at. You've got a team getting blown out and Bautista coming up after he manhandled O'Day the last time they tried to hit him. Bad blood already existed. It was the perfect situation for a team to throw at a guy since the game's already out of reach and Showalter is the exact type of manager to call for his pitcher to do that. There's about a 1% chance it wasn't intentional yet their fans try to claim Garcia had struggled with control all night and that's all it was. It's asinine.
