glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 With Jimenez and Sanchez throwing tonight, there's a pretty good chance someone gets hit, and it won't even be intentional.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I don't think so I don't think either team will throwbat the other on purpose. Accidents happen though I have much lower expectations from Showalter than that. Sure, he'll claim it was an accident and get really, really upset with Ubaldo (and probably Showalter too) gets ejected... But that's his thing.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 He's such an unlikeable pompous *******. Can you really blame Bautista for getting upset? He's not hitting and they are throwing at him? makes no sense. Why wake up the monster at all. Showalter asked for this by saying that it's Bautista's schtick... which it is, but going out making a comment after was stupid. Showalter wanted to trash talk. So far Jose's HRs are the last word, but it's far from over. This could carry over for a couple years.

Showalter's comments were much better this time. He should have shown restraint the first time.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 AJones and Bautista are douchebag I remember when people said Rasmus > AJones 2-3 years ago.

He's a bad liar. They need to be fined for this s*** imo. Throw at a guy, don't like how he reacts to it, throw at him again, etc. Someone's going to get hurt.

Governator Community Moderator Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I don't have a problem with Bautista slow walking his homerun when 3 pitches earlier a ball sailed behind his ears. The Orioles have a history of throwing at him so whether or not it was intentional it woke up the beast inside him. I think both Jones & Bautista came off like douches barking at each other, and it looked like Bautista told Flaherty f*** You Bitch if my lip reading is right as he jogged past him. Classy Jose... Classy. If he did say that to him he'll get plunked more so than the slow roll.
Statman Verified Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 The Baltimore Orioles are the most annoying team in baseball along with Kansas City. Why are they so entitled? O'Day hit Bautista last year in their last series in 2014 on purpose. The have purposely head hunted him 2 times already in 2015. I hope Beeston contacts the commissioner to investigate the Orioles and are punished for this. However, watching The GOAT go yard after each head hunt is soooooo satisfying. Bautista has every right to do what he did considering the circumstances in each incident.

As for 2B, if you watch the Orioles broadcast it actually shows his entire trot as opposed the sportsnet one where you don't see the whole deal. Bautista never said anything to the 1B, and the 2B Flaherty actually walked towards Bautista, so I bet he was saying something.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 "Bautista tried to throw Delmon Young out at first on a base hit to right, Young yelling out, "You're not that good." HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Probably a good thing. Get Smoak in the lineup and Eddy off the field. I haven't even seen anything on twitter on what is barking. Probably nothing I suppose.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Has Bautista surpassed Scott Rolen as the GBOAT?

pickoff22 Verified Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 He's such an unlikeable pompous *******. If you're a fan of the other team, then sure he comes off this way. If you follow the team and have followed the history behind yesterday then you understand his reaction. If I had a team constantly trying to throw at me then you better believe I would be pissed. As "old school" as Showalter might try to be there comes a time to understand that throwing at star players is just plain stupid. How many people have to get injured before MLB takes a hard stance on this BS. I have no problem with Bautista getting fired up, the Orioles have repeatedly gone after him and they then get mad because he "showboats" when he immediately responds by hitting a homerun? Get real - it's not like he would have done his ever-so offensive bat flip if he hit the homerun on the first pitch. They tried to hit him, they failed and he responded with a bomb. Damn straight he deserves to celebrate.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 cool stat from reddit: "In the 3 games Beuhrle has pitched, the Jays(37) have scored more runs than the Brewers(31) and Philles(32) have all year. Also tying the Giants(37)."
