So much dumn.

Let the Ball Fly...seriously don't waste the moderators time. We take enough s***, reporting someone calling you dumn is going to get you a day this time. Be a f***ing man, or get the f*** out.

If Hoffman is as good as the reports, he isn't going anywhere until he increases his value by dominating A+

Maybe part of a trade deadline deal but hope not

At this point I like Hoffman more because after hearing about his rehab going well I think he has less risk than a 18 year old from Mexico that hasn't pitched in college. Right now Hoffman's floor is where Gerrit Cole is right now. Urias has a higher risk level because he doesn't have the command Hoffman does. I'd rather stick with the polished Hoffman over Urias.

Seem to forget Hoffman has already blown out his elbow.

Hear that guys? Worst case scenario, Hoffman is a borderline ace. I'd put his median projection as somewhere around prime Pedro Martinez.

I haven't been as confident about someone's projection for a player since David Cooper's .800 OPS floor.

Haha, I thought he would stick but boy was I wrong

Guys, I wouldn't trade Hoffman for Mike Trout. Mike wasn't even a top 5 pick! Hoffman would have been a top 3 pick if not for his elbow blowing out.

Probably the least outrageous thing he said ITT.

I know but making a comparison based on *probable* draft position *had he not suffered a major injury before even signing* is still worthy of a shout out.

Are you saying that God can throw a 98 MPH fastball with deception?

Hoffman can.

I love Hoffman too. His ceiling is glorious... And my guess is that most of the boners are semi-excited and semi-exaggeration. A lot of us thought Norris was going to step in and be right up there with Hutch for the Jays best starter this season... And it still may happen... But we can all see that it isn't as easy as we'd like it to be.

I still think within 3 years (barring trade), Hoffman will be our best starter (yes... Even better than Stro)... But nothing's a sure thing.

If nothing else though, I'm glad we have him instead of someone else.

In 3 years from now Stroman will be our cloZa, Boyd 5th SP, Sanchez in AAA trying to hit a piñata with a hockey stick

in two years (maybe next year)

Hoffman, Stroman, Hutch, Norris, Osuna

Castro, Sanchez in pen

Castro in the pen is a waste. Stilson and Sanchez, among others in the pen. Castro in rotation, Osuna swingman. The 6th starter typically starts ~20 games in a season.

Stilson isn't very good boss

Was hurt last year. Was very good in 2013, 9K/9, 0.6 HR/9 in AAA. Recovery going well, according to reports. Could be a Sept callup

You left out his 4.25 SIERRA and his 4.76 bb/9, i don't think he's that bad but he's around a 4 ERA guy imo

2013 his BB/9 was 2.85 in 33 games in AAA. Not looking at his 2014 stats, he was pitching hurt... surgery in august 2014
