Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 P.S. Don't know who invented 1 base, think they did, but absolutely awesome game.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I have played with/learned the game from World Series champions, current and former major league players and coaches, and few current minor leaguers. I have more knowledge of the game...playing and managing then you can imagine. Hope your not referencing me...you don't know me, so I hope you would be more mature than that This guy, yes.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 All kidding aside, sure you might know someone, but you're still dumn, IMO.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 What proof do you want...cause unlike you I have learned from actual major leaguers that there are many ways to play the game...meaning you don't s*** on others opinions about the game. You gather knowledge and possibly learn, obviously you are the type of person who swings at a 2 strike slider every f***ing time

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 This game was lost by Pillar and Loup.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 What proof do you have? Show the money. *crickets*

They are cool and you get lots of good info from players, umps, league admins. you can even grab a few autographs, but it really doesn't help you are a player. Most of the help is good for your ball organization. teaching coaches how to work with players, how to deal with umps, umps how to deal players... some great workshops. I've been to a few, but It game me zero baseball skill, but since it was mid January it made me miss baseball and get back at indoor work. no outisde work here until very late march if you are lucky. I can remember playing on a field that was still frozen solid in the start of april... about a million years ago. no state of the art facilities here. we had a gym with weight room, incling running machines, stationary bikes, rowing machines and a 70 ft long hall we could warm up our arms. Pitchers had to start in the hall to get their 60'6". it work.... 25 years ago... time flies.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Yeah, disappointing, regardless in the 8th and 9th. Archer was dominant.

If your 2-5 go 1-9 then you have issue. This has been too much of a hot/cold lineup, very inconsistent. They are extremely lucky one game, terribly unlucky the second. I am still upset at Gibbons subbing in Navarro for Smoak. Worrying that it will be a constant throughout the year. f*** AA just dump him for a all you can eat greek coupon already.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Why? Just giving you information

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 25 years ago in sweden. lol...when are their players ever relevant?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Just giving you information Well, it was useless as mine, on the board. Nothing changes.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 Wow getting banned is no fun. What an empty feeling that was. You're back!!! I was wondering where you went lol
MatBarnes Verified Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 So I noticed Martin is at -2 in framing strikes.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Well, it's obviously not coincidence. Good pitchers are better than bad pitchers lol. Just one of those series where things don't go well. Throw Martin, Bautista, Donaldson, Reyes and EE into a lineup with decent peripheral guys like Pillar, Travis, and Smoak and this lineup is going to look like a murderer's row for stretches this year against even the leagues' best arms. Maybe it's easier for me to see it when I don't really care how they do and am not feeling down after a rough series. You seem so sensible for a rays fan. Beat it
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 So I noticed Martin is at -2 in framing strikes. Because of Dickey bro
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Braves next up.. don't be fooled by their record. The're not a good team.. our defense is a lot better than the Mets and Marlins is, who they just played. U won't say this come Sunday when we're probably about to be swept by them. The Jays are deflated right now so let's hope we can turn it around!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I have officially changed my stance on managers. They do matter. Jays down by 3. They have 2 runners on with 2 out and the tying run at the plate. Justin Smoak is up. Jays need a 3 run HR badly and Smoak has power. So what does Sling Blade do? Remove Smoak for Navarro. Against a righty. Navarro can't hit righties. Then in the 9th inning, instead of having Navarro ready to pinch hit for Goins, all he has is Tolleson (who can't hit righties) so Goins has to bat for himself. Gibbons has been holding this team back for 10 years. Gaston and Farrell barely had a cup of coffee here. It's been practically 70% of Gibbons for a f***in decade. No wonder this team is trash despite having a good roster.

TRM Verified Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 If Smoak has power, he has yet to show it an a Jays uniform 18 ABs is nothing. 20 dingers in 130 games in the AL west is legit pop.
