Friday April 10 - 2nd Annual Rays Message Board Takeover Day

If you'll recall, this board shut down last April 10 and we took over the Rays MLB.com board and a good time was had by all (well, not so much by the 3 Rays fans who post on there)

 

We should honour that day by doing it again this Friday during game time

We don't have to use that, just the mlb.com board. It's pretty dead on there and many of us already have accounts.

If we are doing this, I would recommend changing avatar pictures beforehand so that it's not too obvious. Gsnarls' Dickey avatar sticks out like a sore thumb.

You could go on a board like the Padres and just create a Jays vs Orioles GDT, and go on to discuss the game as if everybody is in the right place. I'm sure that would cause confusion.

We pretty much did this last year. Then it kind of just went out of control since it was so funny and mass threads were created.

That's the idea. Make all the same threads (Around Baseball, Can Ryan Goins Stick?, GDT, etc) and pretend you are on the normal Blue Jays board.

 

I believe it stems from a Marlins board takeover a few years ago (?) and last year, this board was down on the 10th except for the shoutbox where everyone talked, and ECJF talked everyone into using the Rays board as a place to discuss the game. Funny stuff.
