gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Is Valencia our opening day first baseman?
43211234 Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Is Valencia our opening day first baseman? Smoak/Valencia platoon hopefully. Norris walks Altuve then strikes out Springer with the new change.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Norris with two K's in the first inning, and yes they were both swinging K's. LOL
43211234 Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Smoak hits a dinger lol 3 homers through Oberholtzer's first 7 batters.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Navarro walks for the second time.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Norris got lit up for two runs in the second inning on a HR (Castro),2B (Marisnick)and a single (Altuve). All balls were hit hard, no K's.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Springer robbed Colabello for a HR on the dead run over the fence in RF. Wilner almost fainted.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Springer leads off the third inning with a HR that was hit hard. Norris getting roughed up.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Springer leads off the third inning with a HR that was hit hard. Norris getting roughed up. probably a good thing
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Inning over, one K(swinging). 4-4 after three.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Berti triples on a just missed HR to CF that scores Kawasaki. 5-4 Jays.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Siddal and Wilner complaining about Goins not making the team lol. Who is better suited as a back up middle infielder?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Who is better suited as a back up middle infielder? Berti
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Hopefully Navarro is not the one catching Norris during the season...terrible catcher
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Who is better suited as a back up middle infielder? Anybody?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Hopefully Navarro is not the one catching Norris during the season...terrible catcher Unless Martin gets injured in the next 7 days i don't think you need to worry about that.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 LOL cf Still got a hard on for Goins do ya
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Norris through 5: 5 K (all swinging), 1 BB, 5 H, 4 ER/R. Gettin' hit hard. Not foolin' anybody out there.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Goins second double, but who cares really.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Smoak with 4 dingers this spring. Needs to start everyday at 1st Hopefully Viciedo is released ASAP
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Gettin' hit hard. Not foolin' anybody out there. Who cares. Look at all those swings and misses!
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Who cares. Look at all those swings and misses! He's like the anti-Sanchez. - Left handed - Charismatic - Strikeouts - Whiffs - Few Walks - Good
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Smoak with 4 dingers this spring. Needs to start everyday at 1st Hopefully Viciedo is released ASAP I'm torn between Smoak and Valencia tbh, but if i had to choose i think i'd start the year with Smoak.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 He's like the anti-Sanchez. - Left handed - Charismatic - Strikeouts - Whiffs - Few Walks - Good They are different types for sure. If Sanchez continues to keep his BB/9 down like he has been since being called up, he'll be fine. Norris is filthy good.
43211234 Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 8Ks for Norris through 6. Probably done? Another great start. Only 3 flyballs but two of them left the yard. 7 groundouts. Wilner will probably say it was a rough start while he uses every superlative to describe Sanchez' decent start from a few days ago.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Goins is the best defensive middle infielder I've seen in a blue jays uniform next to Alomar I think I would have McDonald, Alex Gonzalez, and Tony Fernandez above him. Even if we strictly consider 2B, I think Orlando Hudson was better (as a Jay).
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Goins is the best defensive middle infielder I've seen in a blue jays uniform next to Alomar It really is amazing. The gap between his hitting and defensive skills might be an MLB record. BreakingBlue post?
