xposbrad Verified Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 How many of Boston's regulars are in the lineup today, just to give us some perspective on the game?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I think Izturis gets the job out of ST. What? Izturis can get the DFA the f*** out of here! Thank you, please !
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Absolutely nothing wrong with that. You guys put way too much emphasis on the swinging strike crap. I think it's pretty important to have a strikeout pitch - one that doesn't result in a hit ball that could move the runners or put an error in play.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 If they don't care about service time with practically every other young player on the team, then Travis should make the team out of Spring Training too. He is clearly better than Maicer.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 Travis with another extra base hit!

Sanchez will get by just fine by inducing weak contact and using the belt high four seamer as his K pitch. You don't need to have a greater than a K / inning ratio to be successful.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Travis with another extra base hit! The kid can rake.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3wBC3RS9BXk/T6VUfOr5whI/AAAAAAAABG8/EGULByvyshE/s1600/jumping-out-of-window.gif Witty little fella..
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 So what you're saying is that Sanchez has no talent? Tools + results = Talent.

King Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Weak contact isn't a real thing though. Do we really have to go through this again? Yes!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Weak contact isn't a real thing though. Do we really have to go through this again? You trolling?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I think most would be happy with 7 or 7.5/9 if he can keep the GB rates up. You would think. That's not the case around these parts.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I would be happy with that too if he walks less than 3/9IP. Just got in! How did Sanchez look??
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Like I said many times before, there are tons of successful pitchers with a less than K / inning career. Mariano Rivera is one of them. Imagine that, the best reliever in MLB history with a K rate lower than 9. Incredible s***.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I would be happy with that too if he walks less than 3/9IP. Since being called up, he has. Let's see how it plays out.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 He looked like s***. To many ground balls not enough swinging strikes. Probably should just release him. Weak ground balls are fine by me. Seriously though, how did he look?
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 2m2 minutes ago Nice grab by Roemon Fields in deep CF ends top8 with #Bluejays leading #Redsox 6-3. I almost expect to see him in Toronto this Sept. #Jays not sure if srs Wilner
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Unless he's referring to a Terrance Gore type thing
Nafro Verified Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 So far this Spring Sanchez has had 2.0769 BB/9. Small sample size but that is acceptable.
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I think he was referring to the Blue Jays calling up all there players from A Ball. It was his lame attempt at humour. makes sense
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
