Infante is as expected, throwing a lot of heat, WP into the backstop as the runners advance to 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Pirela hits a sharp line drive right to Gindl, A-Rod broke forward so he didn't tag.

Norris should start in AAA to gain an extra year of control. The 5th starter isn't needed very often in April anyway...Estrada can give us one spot start if needed, then up comes Norris.

This also helps limit Norris's innings...which is necessary.

From April 8th to May 7th they have 1 day off, why wouldn't they need a 5th starter?

Infante struggling with the fastball command, it's been twice that Martin has made great plays to get bouncing fastballs. Full count.

What do you think the chances are that we see a rotation of: Stroman, Norris, Sanchez, Hutchison and Osuna next year? The long shot there would be Osuna, but how far away is he? I know he only just turned 20, but he's always pitched well ahead of the age curve.

Norris interview: It's a thumb blister. Norris said he didn't feel so great. Credits Martin for helping him get through without his best stuff.

Norris being interviewed. He confirms that he has a blister on the top of his thumb, didn't bother him. Says that he felt his stuff wasn't very sharp but he went out there anyways to compete.

Norris:

- bilster on thumb

- didn't feel sharp today // felt that he was inconsistent

- credited Martin on his ability and enjoyed pitching to him

- stated he isn't a prideful person and wanted to learn further on becoming a better pitcher working with Pete Walker to make changes

- wants to "attack" guys, throw strikes and why he wanted to work on a more repeatable delivery with the pitching staff

- was impressed that Dickey was impressed he could get his car in reverse

- states its fun to be part of the home grown talent that is coming up with the Jays

- looks to Clayton Kershaw // loves his stuff and ability

Smoak gets called out on strikes, pitches that one shouldn't complain about, but it's exactly the pitches that Norris didn't get even with Martin's framing.

It started out well for Smoak as well being up 2-0 on the count. I think he does have a decent eye at the plate and can see why he has a career 10% BB but don't think he is confident with his swing. I know I've repeated it a few times. It may actually be best for him to be in the minors to start the season to work / change that swing.
