Spencer Patton is good! Never heard of Frandy but that's a 70 grade first name.

I definitely thought all along that he was the guy in the big Miguel Tejada trade, but that was Troy Patton.

I'd easily put 100$ on the driving force being his attitdude/makeup compared to his talent. They probably think his talent level isn't worth the headaches he causes. As a 3-4 Win player on a very cheap contract thats not the type of player you go out and trade especially when you will be selling low.

Reminds me of the Escobar situation in a way. Dodgers should get a whole lot more than what Escobar got though.

I would 100% take this bet if there was a way of actually proving it

What the f*** are the Rockies doing? I wouldn't mind claiming all four of Axford, Brothers, Kahnle, and Rosario.

The control is so bad lately, but I'd definitely consider Rex Brothers for 1.5 mil. There's some really good value hitting the pre-Rule V market this year.

Rays dump JP Arencibia (along with Nava, Yates and Brandon Gomes). Good riddance.. JP Arencibia will once again being look for a club to fool for his one week of big HRs, then no average, OBP, or skills whatever..

You just know it'll either be the d-backs or Mariners.

Rays should trade him to the D-Backs for Allen Webster.

For a top10catcher that's an underpayment, need to add a Randall Delgado.

"San Francisco discussed pitchers Shelby Miller and Julio Teheran with the Atlanta Braves, reports Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.

The Braves asked the Giants for third baseman Matt Duffy or second baseman Joe Panik in return, but Cafardo writes that general manager Bobby Evans and executive vice president Brian Sabean aren't interested in trading either."

Duffy and Panik are s***

Pillar, Duffy and Panik overrated. Three time bomb.

astonishing!

  • The Yankees “fixate on high strikeout rates, low walk rates and high groundball percentages” for their starting pitchers, the New York Post’s Joel Sherman writes. With this model in mind, Sherman looks at ten pitchers that could be targeted by the Yankees in trade talks, though some will be harder to acquire than others since New York isn’t intending to deal top prospects like Aaron Judge.

Stephen Strasburg was labeled "the greatest pitching prospect EVER" at the time he was drafted. The pithing game is so fickle.

Yet some say pitching is so luck based

New lead prospect guy at fangraphs is getting killed in the comments for his braves org. rankings.

"One other difference for the way I’ll be communicating scouting grades to you is the presence of three numbers on each tool instead of just two. The first number is the current grade. The second number is the likely future grade; or, if you prefer percentiles, call this the 50th percentile projection. The third number is the ceiling grade, or 90th percentile projection, to help demonstrate the volatility and raw potential of a tool. I feel this gives readers a better sense of the possible outcomes a player could achieve, and more information to understand my thoughts on the likelihood of reaching those levels."

I like him!
