intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Arrieta no-hitting the Dodgers through six. Only blemishes are an error leading to a baserunner in the third and a walk to Rollins in the sixth. 82 pitches.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Watching this game. The guy is unreal. His stuff is just filthy. That low 90s slider is devastating to lefties.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Guy is absolutely dealing tonight. I'm surprised he only has 11 k's, it could be a lot more.
FFantasy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 1 more out - the elusive 27th out.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 111th pitch and he paints a fastball at 95 on the outside corner. Nasty.
FFantasy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 So close to a perfect game too, dang.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 lol great pitch wow this guy is unbelievable tonight.
FFantasy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 WTH - pitch tracker says 4th pitch was a strike!!? anyone watching? Edit: N/M he got him anyway
FFantasy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Not some dinky no no vs. a scrub team either, impressive.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 That was really awesome to see, missed the first few innings but it was clear he was on fire. Congratulations Jake Arrieta.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Strikes out the side for the no hitter, that slider is so dirty.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Baltimore's rotation is simply too good for Jake Arrieta. Buck Showalter knows best.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 haha accidentally drops an F bomb subtly during the interview.
labadee Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 that was the calmest no-hit celebration ever.
Rajais Mitten Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 If the O's board wasn't melting down enough as it is this should help add fuel to the fire

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Had Arrieta shown any flashes of brilliance in Baltimore? I'm curious if it was a stupid trade or just an unfortunate one.

Top-100 prospect who had a 3.65 xFIP and 6.20 ERA through 115 IP in 2012. He's always been a big potential guy, but the Cubs really ironed him out.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 So who gets called up to the jays next week? How many do you see this jays team adding?
Johnny King Vancouver Canadians - A+ LHP The 19-year-old top prospect has made 16 High-A starts. He is 3-2 with a 2.92 ERA. In 61 2/3 innings, he's walked 35, but he's struck out 83 batters. Explore Johnny King News >
