Zaun would love him lol

If Chapman is sleeping until the 7th...maybe everyone should consider napping right up until they have to pitch. My favourite quote there is:

a guy with a year-and-a-half in the big leagues wandering around the clubhouse, hanging out.

How dare he feel part of the team.

Im guessing he meant while the game was being played. Kinda like the Red Sox where guys would be playing video games in the clubhouse while the rest of the team is playing on the field.

305 pounds and a bum knee with a degenerative issue. Sounds like that will hold up for a 162 game schedule. I really wonder why they re-signed him. The Yanks should have let him walk when he opted out of his deal.

He looked pretty decent last year (granted SSS). Was really unlucky with HR/FB but he was still missing bats with the lower velocity. Should be interesting to see how he does this year.

Could be ugly. Here's hoping!

I was listening to the MLB network this morning and i am not sure who it was but they were going on a big rant about Joey Votto and how he needs to change his approach because he is not paid to get on base at a.400 clip he needs to swing the bat more because that is what your paid to do....... I just had to shake my head....

Was Harold Reynolds leading the charge? I wish Votto was in a much better lineup where he could actually be appreciated for just how good of a hitter he is.

I wonder if Skip Schumaker realizes he sucks at baseball and probably shouldn't be talking.

Not to mention came back from lunch and i hear Russo going off on him as well. I think it is due to the fact they Votto said he is not going to change his approach going into this season. Russo was saying that they signed him for 10 years because he can hit the ball out of the park and not because he can get on base... He said he needs to get the bat off his shoulder and be productive..... I then thought about running my car into a tree so i did not have to listen to him anymore.

Speculation surrounding Sean Nolin's potential spot in the Oakland Athletics' starting rotation will have to wait after a concerning throwing session Saturday.

Manager Bob Melvin told reporters Nolin will be shut down for an unspecified amount of time after a flat-ground throwing session caused the 25-year-old pain. The soreness could be attributed to his offseason sports hernia surgery, according to John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group.

"He's still feeling a little tug," Melvin said.

Melvin indicated there's no timetable for his return and the injury has moved him further behind several other candidates on the Athletics.

Nolin arrived in Oakland from the Toronto Blue Jays during the winter as part of the trade that sent Josh Donaldson north of the border.

Nolin, who has 2.1 major-league innings to his name, registered a 3.50 ERA during 17 starts with the Blue Jays' Triple-A affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons, in 2014.

Joe "retired" Blanton signed a minor league deal with the Royals

Joe Blanton's 2013 is one of the great mysteries of our sport. Guy is probably still a decent pitcher.

Well especially now.

Even before now. i think Graveman will end up being a decent MLB starter. I never thought that about Nolin.

I drafted him in the DDL and PL for the 2013 season. It was not a fun experience.

I carried him through that whole season in MPL. If the Royals rotation wasn't full I'd be drafting him in every deep league.

I like Graveman more too but he's also rather untested. Only 44.1 innings in the high minors. If I were a gm and both were healthy and it came down to a choice, I'd probably prefer to let Nolin sink or swin in the majors right away and hold Graveman for later. I don't hate Nolin. If healthy, I'd like to see what he can do. I feel like it's time.
