Going to be a real kick in the nuts if he starts costing us wins directly. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12239715/baltimore-orioles-acquire-travis-snider-trade-pittsburgh-pirates
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Unless he winds up back on the team I wouldn't worry about him costing us wins. I think he's peaked. He's still young baseball speaking but I think what you see is what you get at this point with him. Who knows? Maybe the Os give him a FT job and he takes off maybe he just stays what he is. It's like every former player who comes back and does anything that costs the team a win or comes up with a big play, it's always a pain.

Snider is a pretty cheap way for them to address a need and options are pretty limited at this point anyways. Solid trade but in tersm of salvaging this off season, it might be too little, too late.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I have a bad feeling about this. If Snider breaks out with the O's, that would suck. If he did it in Pittsburgh, then fine, but not in Baltimore!

If he did it in Pittsburgh, then fine, but not in Baltimore! Why? They have pretty much none else and they didn't want to spend any money. Could he hurt us? In theory yes. Could J.P hurt us? In theory yes.

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Good deal for the O's, that PTBNL is probably Hoffman though, since he's ALL the PTBNLs...
