Like how does it work? Who picks when and where? What and how does the point system work? How many players? If a player gets injured do I have to keep him? Do green eggs really go with ham? All good questions I would think?

I did baseball drafts before, was winning till Darren Dalton and Lenny, crashed that car and that blew my draft right the f*** up! Lol can't remember if that was the same team I had Whats his nutz? Escapes me now, that guy that took high heater to the face and got all busted up to s***, bad too!

 

Please tell me this is someone else and you didn't just forget Giancarlo Stanton's name.

Not sure how it is played, I asked but nobody has yet to give me straight answers! What the scoop on the poop! How is this draft game played?

 

 

I might plus if I suck I can just drink more Rum and be just like my Jays!

 

Only difference is I will not take twenty f***ing long years to figure out how to win it all! Lol

I think it's an auction draft, so you're given a budget and you can bid on players. I'm not sure if we've decided on formats yet though.

 

Which we really should.

Ok, 75% of the way there. Once we get up to 20, I'll send out a poll with a few tentative dates.

From that, one of three things will happen.

 

1) We'll find a date that works for everyone.

2) We'll find a date that works for everyone except one or two people, in which case, we'll have to replace those members, as auction needs to be done live.

3) We'll realize it's impossible to find a date that works for 20 people at the same time, in which case, we'll switch to a traditional serpentine format - which will essentially make us the Premier League (with money).

It's great that he says "further back" and King goes to 2013. The batter 4B is thinking of is Danny Bautista. At least that's the only Brave I remember getting hit with a pitch in the face. Funny that I can't remember to set my lineups in any league but remember that.

 

Have you decided if there is any bench? If there isn't I'm in.

after you choose your squad, are "call ups" (or whatever you call them) possible during the season of players that went undrafted? or is it pretty much "hands off" after the draft other than possible trades?

Player movement can take place one of three ways.

 

1) Trades.

2) Free Agents. All the players that were available and undrafted, can be picked up at any time.

3) Waiver wire. Players that end up on the waiver wire can be claimed. It takes 48 hours to get them. If more than one person claims them, the player goes to the person with the highest waiver wire priority.

Players that go on the waiver wire include: players that get dropped, minor league players that get called up, foreign players that sign a deal.

 

The person with the lowest draft pick starts with the highest waiver priority. Whenever anyone makes a successful waiver claim, they drop to 20th, and everyone who was behind them, gets bumped up one spot.

 

From experience, an active owner will replace about 40% of his/her team during the season with free agents and waiver wire pickups.

Money ensures that people enter with the intention of taking it seriously, but also means that people are less likely to drop out midway through the season.

Besides, if it wasn't a money league, we would restrict it to people we were already familiar with through fantasy baseball.

 

And $20 is hardly a huge sum.
