Anyone think we could pry Josh Fields away from Houston? 11.5 K/9, 2.8 BB/9, 3.15 xFIP, 2.09 FIP last year. He was aided by an unsustainably low HR/FB and I'd rather him generate more GB's, but there's a lot to like here. What would it take? Edited January 22, 2015 by Brownie19

Would be interesting to know who much Houston values him. Their offseason signings kind of suggest they don't have any faith in him as a late inning reliever. Surely to god they aren't fooled by his mid 4 ERA? Maybe they are just trying to mimic the Royals...

So its looking like the plan is to roll the dice with a bunch of guys for the first few months and then bring up the likes of Norris, Osuna and Castro for the pen in June to start their clocks while giving us a massive boost in the pen.
