King Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Colby Rasmus has been non-existent in the offseason thus far. Unless, I missed something.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Colby Rasmus has been non-existent in the offseason thus far. Unless, I missed something. Reds LF
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Reds LF His power would be perfect for that ballpark.
JaysRap Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Boston, New York and Toronto at least have loaded up. Meanwhile Tampa and Baltimore have dun nutting.
xposbrad Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I guess the Yankees have a new ace.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Not sure if it was mentioned but Latos was traded to Miami for DeScalfani and Wallach.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Masterson got 9.5 from red sox. Thats a pretty big price for a deal to restablish value.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Reds LF s*** really? Thats cool i guess
bowld Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 s*** really? Thats cool i guess Nothing official. I think he is speculating

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Big upgrade for the M's!
LongTimeReader Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Big upgrade for the M's! Is he being sarcastic?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Is he being sarcastic? No. Much like the Mariners, he only sees things in terms of dingers and RBIs. Dayan Viciedo has been sub-replacement for the past two seasons... it's amazing that Jack Z convinced us he was smart for a few years.

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 lol jack z is ridiculous. Why doesn't he understand he has a huge outfield and needs really good defenders out there who can get on base. Instead he goes for butchers who swing for the fences in a park where you can't hit homers easily....
baseballsss Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I think I speak for everyone when I say this has been the craziest winter meetings ever.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 So Ervin Santana to the Twins for 4/54. Not sure why the Twins made this signing.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 So Ervin Santana to the Twins for 4/54. Not sure why the Twins made this signing. No idea. They must be really trying to find a shortcut to contention and putting at least a legit team on the field for when Sano and Buxton reach the majors..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Have you seen their starting staff? Hughes, Nolasco, Gibson, Milone, May, Meyer? Not a great rotation.. not a single ace in that staff.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Have you seen their starting staff? They aren't winning anything anytime soon. And with that ballpark you can attract the guys trying to re-establish their value and get similar production for a fraction of the price without the risk of a long term deal.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 LOL frag, I just saw this retweet. What a goof Nathan Adkins ™ @SirAdkins 51m51 minutes ago Hickory, NC Dayan Viciedo >> Michael Saunders Check the stats before you question me

What a goof Nathan Adkins ™ @SirAdkins 51m51 minutes ago Hickory, NC Dayan Viciedo >> Michael Saunders Check the stats before you question me I already posted that! Hysterical. Sad though, because you know plenty of fans think like this guy.
King Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I don't see why the Twins wouldn't sign Santana if they liked the price. They are trying to put a good team on the field, like every other team in the league should be doing.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 That sub .300 OBP is sooo sexy as well. Look beyond the stats. This could be an excellent buy low for the Mariners. I'm a believer in Viciedo's potential and a change in scenery might help his terrible approach at the plate.
