NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Yes, this is thread-worthy. Mike Bolsinger is good and can be had for cheap now. The Diamondbacks don't know what they have here; he's a #3 starter waiting to happen. Fantastic peripherals (DIPS and PD) in 9 ML starts this year. Get on it AA.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Seems like a decent bullpen guy at least. Fastball-cureveball since he doesn't use his change anyways.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Nah picking him up is the kind of move good franchises like the St.Louis Cardinals make

Nasty slider/curve and groundball tendencies.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I like him. Nasty slider/curve and groundball tendencies. Yup, and whiff rates on his curve(according to fangraphs) are pretty good as well. Everything checks out looks like he had bad luck and a 15.8% HR/FB is unsustainable, would be a really good depth piece if anyone gets injured during the regular season. At the very least, could be a dominant bullpen arm.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 He's got options, should be worth the $20K for someone.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 The Dodgers acquire RHP Mike Bolsinger from Arizona in exchange for cash considerations, and designate LHP Jarret Martin for assignment.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Steal of the off-season... damn
wamco Verified Member Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 The cash considerations likely aren't cheap. guessing they are. Guy was coming off an over 5 era season

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 If you the Friedman gives a rats ass about ERA....you haven't been paying attention. He cares about stuff that matters I think he meant that Friedman would be able to use the 5 ERA against the D-Backs, especially the D-Backs..
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 If that's the case then yes, definitely. That was a steal of a trade and the worst part is the AZ front office doesn't even realize it.
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Doesn't the guy top out at 88 mph?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Well if he gets by us. Either Oakland or LA will pick him up for sure. This smells like AA. Lets just hope he isn't fapping over Martin still and misses it. Called that s***. No you didn't.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2015 Author Posted May 18, 2015 Mike Bolsinger just twirled another gem, six scoreless frames against Colorado. When I made this thread, I thought Bolsy would be nice to add to the #4/5 mix, not fit in as the team's ace. We (and Arizona) could really use him!
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Oh well now we all the teams involved know!
