Mark Buehrle, LHP

12-9, 3.40 ERA

Buehrle did not factor into the decision when the Blue Jays lost in 10 innings to the Rays on Sunday. The veteran lefty lasted six innings and gave up four earned runs on nine hits.

Hiroki Kuroda, RHP

10-9, 3.81 ERA

Kuroda has backed off his between-starts work to avoid a second-half swoon, to solid results. The veteran is 3-2 with a 3.33 ERA in eight starts since Aug. 1, holding opponents to a .235 average.

At this point the only reason for watching is in hoping that one of the prospects will have a great game. Someone said that Pompey is in the lineup tonight? Maybe he will be the next Nathan MacKinnon (different sport, but both are Canadian and Nathan MacKinnon almost single handedly turned the Avalanche from a losing team into a contending team).

Pompey gets a start in LF and batting eighth. I'm hoping he makes the transition to the MLB quick.

Interested to see what he does. Some Jays rookies in the past had big games at Yankee Stadium. Travis Snider...ok I'll stop lol.

I like how you added Adam Lind's batting average and nobody else's

He's the player to watch and batting average is the most important stat.

I just did a quick copy and paste - so there were bound to be mistakes.

Reyes is f***ing stupid, and now Jeter will get all the praise, of course.

Correct in both points - Reyes had yet another brain cramp (maybe he needs to rest till next season) and Jeter deserves the praise cuz he did get the lead runner, not so?

Beating the shift is the easiest thing in the world, all you have to do is go against your tendencies guys, not even sure why teams do it.

That inning was vintage Mark Buehrle, won't miss many bats, but will command all of his pitches and play excellent defense to bail himself out.

This is why you don't bring Buehrle back he sucks against our division.

He gave up one ball that should of been a base hit all inning. Lind should of caught that and there was a groundball right where the SS should have been.
