RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Wow how is that not a strike
jays76 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Naturally I'm not feeling overly confident after yesterday and having shaky Buerhle up there doesn't help but maybe today will be an unexpected pleasant surprise for us.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Navarro's pitch framing ability = -10
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Wow, 3 ground balls to Reyes and he didn't FK one up. Progress.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 i'm seriously wondering if yan gomes > navarro makes us a playoff team, so depressing
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 One cant help but become a Rays fan with the way they do things very enticing
bill Verified Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 If they win a game in this series it will likely be today
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I hope Reyes gets over .300 May be moveable
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 i'm seriously wondering if yan gomes > navarro makes us a playoff team, so depressing Well, if you factor in framing, Navarro is at or below replacement level, while Gomes should closer to 5 WAR, big difference.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Lol reyes you got to protect against that Meanwhile Burleh didn't get a better pitch Love the MLB
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 And there's the Molina effect.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 And there's the Molina effect. City ran him out, for JPA

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Strikes out the side. Lol @ this team. Are we going to be shut out again today?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 If we get shutout today, Something will definitely go down in the club house.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 its the 1st inning, calm the f*** down
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 We have multiple perfect games going on.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Well, if you factor in framing, Navarro is at or below replacement level, while Gomes should closer to 5 WAR, big difference. Framing is still in it's infancy about understanding how much is due to catchers and how much is due to other factors, so I'm still highly sceptical on the current numbers that are coming out. Yes they probably identify the catchers who are bad and good at it, but the actual strike numbers and run values attributed solely to catchers as a result are still very suspect and in need of far more work.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Nice pitch............ K Gibbons needs to get on this clown of an ump and see if he can get a real strike zone enforced.
