FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Can this get any more depressing? Yes.... if/when they announce that Beeston, AA, and Gibbons will be back next year.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Does predicting doom for the rest of the league ever get old to you when it rarely ever happens and the team you root for is missing the playoffs every year for over two decades? Hey, at least we've won a World Series in our history. Cubs fans wait and wait and wait for a championship that never comes.. 108 years and counting.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Yes.... if/when they announce that Beeston, AA, and Gibbons will be back next year. Beeston's likely gone(retiring), AA's on the bubble depending how the season ends, and Gibbons I have no idea.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I truly believe the organization will prosper the day Beeston announces his retirement.

Sounds like AA is back next year. Gibons will be gone before him, in fact I think that the only reason he is still here after last season is so that AA would have a scapegoat if things went bad early in the year... they didn't of course so he is still here. Could be gone before spring training though.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Seriously though, no pitch tracker and gun? WTF SN.................
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Seriously though, no pitch tracker and gun? WTF SN................. They've given up too.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Seriously though, no pitch tracker and gun? WTF SN................. Likely has more to do with the ballpark and facilities.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 They've given up too. Wow.. The springs on the steel barn door have broken off.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I remember the days when we had a third baseman that could do that.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I got home in the bottom of the second and still haven't seen a Jays' base runner.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Shows how much defence matters. Brewers have taken away at least 3 hits and Jays have given the Brewers at least 3 hits maybe more.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Wow, Carter's 30th HR of the season. He has more this month than the jays . Yankees losing at least.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Seriously though, no pitch tracker and gun? WTF SN................. i think its Rogers trying to save some money. LOL.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Well maybe Drabek is a positive in an otherwise s***** game.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Nice curve from Drabek, but it's obvious on how much zip he's lost on his fastball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 It's nice to see Drabek doing well, albeit in the smallest of samples. At least he's not walking the ballpark.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Well maybe Drabek is a positive in an otherwise s***** game. Nice breaking ball! Would they ever let him start a game ?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Nice curve from Drabek, but it's obvious on how much zip he's lost on his fastball. Yup. Could turn into an alright reliever but the 95 is not 89-92. His cutter is sitting at 89 and that is Janssen velocity.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Rasmus has given at least 3 hits. Cant stand him in the lineup anymore, even with the Detroit game.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 The last two times the Jays dramatically increased payroll, it resulted in underachievement. Both times, they were managed by John Gibbons. Just saying.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 This is pretty much a no-hitter.

comeon sense Verified Member Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I would consider myself as more positive then the average poster on this board. Saying that....it's over my friends. Feels like it,but i,ll wait until the upcoming homestand, which will be very interesting to see the fans reactions, and how they play...how intense they play, that is.
