jake Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 mills should just roll it up to the batter
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Well if Mcgowan gets into this game at least we can't use him for tomorrow.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Brad Mills has a 50.42 xFIP...
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Yeah, the guy is watching his career vanish right before his eyes... Sucks to be him, but y'know... Sometimes people just aren't cut out for the job they want.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=4420&position=P Have a laugh guys.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Brad Mills has a 50.42 xFIP... Wow.
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Austin just struck out by the worst pitcher in baseball.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Austin just struck out by the worst pitcher in baseball. I thought RickyRo was out for the year...?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Thanks to that K his xFIP drops to a respectable 14.39...
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I think this is why run differential can be a bit misleading. There's been 5 or 6 runs that would not have happened if the Blue Jays had a different set of circumstances going into this game. Mills is useless and you can't fault the Blue Jays pitching staff for the numbers he puts up.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Austin just struck out by the worst pitcher in baseball. Mills surprisingly has gotten his fair share of K's...8.54 K/9 in 71.2 innings.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Poor Brad Mills. First he gets lit up then they get a shot of him picking his nose in the dugout.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Lol Zaun. Felix made adjustments to be able to pitch to Blue Jays hitters.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I'm kind of hoping for a 1-2-3 inning from Mills, poor guy needs it.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 f*** off ump, stop squeezing Mills!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Lol Zaun. Felix made adjustments to be able to pitch to Blue Jays hitters. I hate the he's stuggled against them in his career BS. The lineup he faced 2 years ago is completely different than the lineup who faced him today. Bautista and Rasmus were probably the only players that were with the Jays back then.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Tomorrow's starter Chris Young has a 3.27 ERA, but he has the highest xFIP of qualified pitchers as well as the lowest GB% at 23.2%, the next closest is 31.9%... He's due for some massive regression, I really like it for us.

Vincent Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Reimold is looking to be another guy who strikes out 30% of the time.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Reimold has been striking out, a lot.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 And people want him as a full time DH next season...smh
Vincent Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Ugly game. But on the bright side we managed to beat out Price and Scherzer. Not gonna win vs. all the aces and King Felix is literally the best in the AL.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Why does Brad Mills still have a job? Any time he pitches I EXPECT him to give up at least 5 runs.

Pretty much this, didnt have high hopes for this one, long game yesterday, had to travel all the way out west and face King Felix the very next day. Just need to make sure we win the series now.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Luckily for the Jays and their fans, Mills will not be seen again, as he was DFAd after the game. He was basically just there to allow the bullpen to have a breather and mop up if the game was a blow out. Lind will replace Mills on the roster tonight.
skeetz Verified Member Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Players like Mills makes me wonder what AA is thinking. So he claimed Mills but let Esmil Rogers get claimed by the Yankees. I'm no fan of Esmil but he's at least better than Mills and actually pitched well in the few games he's had with the Yankees including a winning start. So out of that Yan Gomes trade we've left with nothing (Gomes - Cleveland, Rogers - Yankees).

Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
