Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Why the bunt??? The sac bunt? because "bad at baseball."
IBTrini Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Beautiful bunt. It's about time Rasmus does more of this especially as opponents like playing the shift on him. The Jays have gotten some breaks this game but they look like they are paying attention to fundamentals.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 What a selfish POS. Clearly Rasmus is just thinking about his impending free agency, driving that average up.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 we face iwak too? ugh 3 Cy Young winners in 3 days, lol.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 That's a nightmare list of opposing starters the next week. My lord.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Goins and Thole didn't stand a chance.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Goins rapidly getting exposed again
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 3 Cy Young winners in 3 days, lol. Won't surprise me if we win 3 of the next 4
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Won't surprise me if we win 3 of the next 4 Seems about right. Can't beat the easy teams but somehow able to beat the tough ones.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 RIP Wagner Seems like his arm is done for the year at least. Watch him need TJS and miss all of next year too.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Seems like his arm is done for the year at least. Watch him need TJS and miss all of next year too. Thats what elbow pain usually leads to.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Thats what elbow pain usually leads to. They said earlier in the year he wouldn't need it, it's precautionary and now it looks like it might be inevitable. Should have just done it earlier and gotten it over with. Hopefully they'll keep him around if he can get healthy.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Jesus, Lind's back tightened up? Godammit!! I might be in the minority but I'd say they should just decline his option for next year, or pick it up and try dealing him for anything they can get. His power numbers were gone this year and his back is ongoing issue.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Won't surprise me if we win 3 of the next 4 It wouldn't be the first time we did well against elite pitchers before/after struggling against junkballers.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Buck doesn't even know the count.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Wtf he went all the way around, wasn't even a tough call.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 f***in useless umpire costs Dickey probably 10 more pitches
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 That call seems to have killed Dickey's ability to throw strikes. You should be able to challenge swing attempts.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 No! He's a "high performing" DH-only, oft-injured, half of a platoon! You can't just find those guys anywhere! He's worth his weight in gold. Actually, you can't find those guy anywhere, on a baseball field. Because they're bagging groceries (when they aren't milking worker's comp for their latest malady). That made me chuckle! Thanks!
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I'll take Lind over Francisco, everyday of the week. I give Lind credit that he's made up for lack of power with hitting for a high average. Francisco seems to be plummeting to earth swinging at balls no where near the strike zone that even Stevie Wonder wouldn't swing at.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Oh f*** the Os! Ugh they just keep winning!
