Rogers isn't cheap($137M+ payroll), Santos deserved a DFA with his numbers this season, and it's one fricking game!
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 and it's one fricking game! Sadly this is not true. This team's record after tonight over two seasons is 125-137.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Hutch needs/should have been traded. He will be at best a #4 starter until he developes his secondary pitches
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 How about Reyes finding himself missing a throw as a cutoff man in a 9-1 game very hilarious.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 21 years. No playoffs. Hopefully when we have our annual fluke month next year, people won't be so quick to shout down legitimate criticism with "STILL IN FIRST PLACE."

TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Rogers isn't cheap($137M+ payroll), Santos deserved a DFA with his numbers this season, and it's one fricking game! so Whether or not he deserved to be D'dFA , that not the MO for this front office, and it never has been. Big arm, great stuff relievers have always been AA's weakness, and he has almost ALWAYS sacrificed the hear and now to keep these guys on the roster for as long as possible. In absolute terms Rogers may not be cheap with the $137m payroll this year to its credit, but you cant say they're willing to do whatever it takes in terms of payrolll if the Elliot tweet was accurate. The Santos move is clearly a sign that the Elliot tweet is accurate, with AA going against anything he's ever done, and hoping to sacrifice Santos, to clear room in the payroll for another bat. When he talks about being creative, in terms of adding salary...this is exactly it. Its actually a smart move, if they it is money in = money out, but if it signifies that Rogers has indeed said Money in must = Money out...then we should be venting.

GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Raptors finally taking their rightful spot as Toronto's team. It's a shame its such a s*** sport.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'd rather have Hutch than paying Buehrle 18m or whatever stupid amount he's making. yeah...buehrle's been god awful this year. Give me a break. Hutch is going to be fine. He's a young player. Buehrle's been a pro all year and earned every dollar he's being paid.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 This team is missing a bunch of players....It's not just Lind, EE, Lawrie and Morrow....we're also missing bautista, rasmus, Francisco. These guys are feeling the pressure and I'm not totally convinced bautista has been entirely healthy. Bautista has hit less than .200 with no home runs his last 12 or 13 games. Rasmus just marginally better with one home run and hitting just over the mendosa line. Francisco has hit just above .200 as well with a home run. We have no middle of the order bats right now. Is baustista's play sustainable? No. He's too good a player to play this bad. Rasmus will get hot too. EE will return, Lawrie will get back, lind will be back. All three are back to doing baseball drills. We have another 10 days to two weeks and we'll get them back, but can we play anywhere close to .500 to stay in it...we'll see.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Losing 14-1 is better than losing 14-10. If your pitchers just don't have it that day, might as well have your offense throw up blanks against Lackey.
