Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 No I wouldn't Burly is honestly not good, but he is, his whole career he's been good not great
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Tampa about to sweep Twins on the road LMAO
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Not a Grand Slam but a great AB regardless, Johnson doesn't swing at crap.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Tampa about to sweep Twins on the road LMAO Guess this means Price may be staying put in Tampa..
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 but he is, his whole career he's been good not great Agree. Mark B is about the consistent good but not great starting pitcher I can ever remember...remarkable career. Nice AB by Johnson hanging in there against LHP for sac fly.
Peter1 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Why the f*** do all our hitters do these bunt attempts and then pull back when it's a perfect strike, just a waste of a strike
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Johnson with that Oakland pedigree.
Governator Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I like Johnson, I was preaching he should be in the line up everyday when Lind & EE went down. Very productive bat.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Tony Rasmus' advice paying off for Colby.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Guess this means Price may be staying put in Tampa.. Doesn't matter what tampa does, Baltimore continues to win so they're not making up much ground. They have to win the division to make the playoffs
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 but he is, his whole career he's been good not great Buehrle has a 3.79 career ERA which is good, not great....but he only has a 3009 inning sample size to go on...so maybe sh3156 is right. Maybe burly is terrible.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Tampa about to sweep Twins on the road LMAO How is that really funny?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Why the f*** do all our hitters do these bunt attempts and then pull back when it's a perfect strike, just a waste of a strike I'm pretty sure they just do that to look at the pitcher, they don't actually have any intent to bunt or swing.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Doesn't matter what tampa does, Baltimore continues to win so they're not making up much ground. They have to win the division to make the playoffs you think seattle is out of reach?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Buehrle looks terrible! Better pull him asap!
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 you think seattle is out of reach? No but they have such a good pitching staff I'll be surprised if they don't win the last wildcard
Governator Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I'm pretty sure they just do that to look at the pitcher, they don't actually have any intent to bunt or swing. It's pretty stupid really. Two out with runners on, get in there and be ready to swing. Going up with the intention to take in that scenario is just putting yourself in a hole and showing bunt isn't going to bring in the D with 2 out lol.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 FFS, another soft hit single, it will surely be overturned.
