Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Fastest ive ever seen navarro run... and now he's hurt lol
over500 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Now Navarro might have gotten hurt "hustling" down the line, this is a joke. Losing a replacement level may not be a bad thing..
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Losing a replacement level may not be a bad thing.. True, but with our luck Kratz blows out his knee on the plane ride. We don't want more Gillespies on this team.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 So gas gibbons given up on Rasmus? He'd rather have masteritina hit vs rhp. Cause everyone knew they were going to rhp if they ph there I don't like that decision

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 How are f***s measured? I just want to know because there is clearly less than one whole f*** being given by this team, but I can't be sure of the exact amount. .89 L? 14 oz?

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Now that the game is over, any news on Weaver?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Holy f*** the Angels are 22- 3 since June at home!! ...and they will trade for Kennedy/Ross
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Don't you people realize he's a shill to the Jays and Rogers? Since he's been suspended by the team for criticising Gaston(stopped listening soon after), that he can't say much different? He's got a wife and kids to provide for, he isn't going to change now, since the hammer was brought on him, blame Rogers for that. then, don't call me pimp or marica, I got a wife, kids and a girlfriend
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Well, York is right about one thing: this team sure has a lot of AAA players. That's why every pitcher is looking like Cy Young against us.
Convo Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Convo, lol. *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP* cf
shortstop Verified Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 one thing Gibby often does is not sugar coat something... there is no light b/c short of a shutout pitching effort, this offense is not producing - wtf can Gibby do about that? last night's lineup was not terrible - other than Kawa, #8 spot & #9 spot - this lineup isn't bad - and with Kawa & Francisco getting OB a bit, it's better than we're giving the lineup credit for...most if not every lineup in baseball will have 1-2 holes...which means the lineup itself, the big money players, are not producing right now consistently... Headley would help imo from a stability standpoint & imo, any trade will bring at least in the short term some new energy that would hopefully rub off on the other players...but even with a trade, these guys gotta produce...

Your last sentence is the bottom line. Last year Colby had an .850 OPS. This year sub .700 like 2012. Melky, Reyes and Jose as well as Navarro have to do more especially with Edwin & Lawrie out. So apparent how important Lawrie is to the team stabilizing the D and adding some more cred to the bottom of the order. Lind, Juan and Colby are never going to hit LHP well, so those RHH sticks have to produce. Adding marginal pieces wont change that reality. We have swung down 8 games in standings to Os.

Nailed it. The guys are beat up, yes, but with exception of the unfortunate lefty-facing lineups, a lot of our guys are playing and not performing and it's been like this for a month. Things are compounding now and poor play continues. Here are the last 30 games: Vs STL: 3-1 W, 5-0 L, 5-0 L (11-3 STL) Vs MIN: 5-4 W, 4-0 L, 7-2 L (15-6 MIN) @ BAL: 4-2 L, 4-0 W, 3-2 L, 5-2 W (13-9 Jays in 4 games) @ NYY: 3-1 L, 7-3 L, 6-4 L (16-8 NYY) @ CIN: 14-9 W, 11-1 L, 4-3 L (24-18 CIN) That's 48 runs in 16 games from our previously lauded offense with a 14-run outlier. 34 in 15 without it. A slump, in other words. They happen. But after that, things get crazy and injuries start happening, including no Bautista for two series and the intro of the lefty-facing disaster lineup: Vs NYY: 8-3 W, 7-6 W, 5-3 L (18-12 Jays) Vs CWS: 7-0 W, 5-4 L, 4-3 L, 4-0 L (14-13 Jays in 4 games) Vs MIL: 4-1 W, 7-4 W (11-5 Jays) Thr NYY series looks like things are turning around. Two of the losses vs CWS were fallen-short comebacks on a silver platter. Particularly dejecting, lots of squandered opportunities. The Milwaukee series offers some hope, though the offense was poor. The exciting walk-off in game 2 saves face (I was there!) After that, things get really bad, including losing Edwin: @OAK: 4-1 L, 1-0 L, 5-1 L, 4-2 L (14-4 OAK in 4 games) Then last night's game. That's generally how this month has gone. The injuries following a slump are devastating as they seem to compound everything. The going is very tough, but our guys need to start doing their jobs.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Tweet him that he's just pissed because he's been fired more times than Juan gets K'd. This guy is still around haha? Does he work for any media outlet?
