Jays: Dickey shut the A's down on May 24. The right-hander had his best start of the season, allowing two runs and five hits over 8 1-3 innings of a 5-2 win. Dickey, though, is trying to avoid losing four straight starts for the first time since May 13-28, 2004, while with Texas. He gave up four homers and five runs over six innings of a 5-4 defeat to the Chicago White Sox on Friday. Entering Wednesday, Jose Reyes was hitting .394 with three doubles, a triple and one homer in his last seven games. Encarnacion is batting .404 with six homers and 15 RBIs in the last 13 contests. The Jays lead the MLB with 113 homers. Thursday's game in Oakland is Toronto's first in a 10-game, 11-day road trip that will lead into the All-Star break. The Blue Jays don't return to home until July 18 against the Rangers. Athletics: Gray gave up a season high-tying five runs in a season-low five innings of Saturday's 7-6, 14-inning win at Miami. He lost 5-4 in his only start against Toronto on Aug. 10, as Bautista went 3 for 3 with a two-run homer in their matchups. Colby Rasmus was the only other Blue Jay to get a hit off of him in six innings. Moss is batting .423 over the last six games. The Athletics scored seven times in dropping a season-high four in a row May 22-25, with the last five of those runs coming in a three-game sweep at Toronto. Oakland finds itself in its worst offensive slump since then, as it pushed seven runs across the plate in dropping all three games in Detroit this week. The A's, who lead the AL with 425 runs, entered that series with nine wins in the previous 11 games. TBJ12 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 EE is going to get some action tonight. Lets just hope he manages to make all the routine plays without getting himself injured out there.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Terrible idea to have Edwin play LF in this series. Oakland has one of the biggest outfields in the majors... And with Dickey pitching, there will be ALOT of balls hit to the outfield. I think the Jays get blown out this game.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 One day I hope to step up to the plate and make a GDT as good as Fatcow can.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 maybe it's a big enough park that Dickey doesn't get shelled?? can always hope.... Lets go blue jays.

TBJ12 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Edwin is playing LF Edwin can't be any slower than Melky out there.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Edwin can't be any slower than Melky out there. not as much speed as it is reads off the bat. cant expect another game where there isn't a single ball hit his way. it will all be down to what read he gets and hopefully he doesn't hurt himself.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 How many fly balls does Cespedes hit to Edwin tonight?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 In our favour - that Oakland lineup is not their A lineup Where are Crisp and Dnaldson??
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 No colby? Wrirst problem See injury thread

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Love the Gose start to with this massive outfield. Looks like Colby might be a bit in the doghouse, as he should be.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Crisp out due to rest, Donaldson out due to a stiff back.
fireballW Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Have a good feeling Dickey will go on a bit of a run and help solidify the rotation like MB did in the early season.
