@MLBRosterMoves 2m

The @Reds sign Cuban RHP Raisel Iglesias to 7-year deal through 2020. Iglesias, 24, will join organization once visa issues are resolved.

7 años, $30MM

It doesn't surprise me that a player from the tropics would be unwilling to sign with the Jays without ever having been to Canada. Those Canadian Igloo stereotypes are even more pronounced than in the US.

He'll trade 2 top 50 prospects for a 38 year old pitcher but millions for a young Cuban pitcher with a good arm NO THANKS!

I dont understand how you guy's still haven't figured out Rogers would rather spend FIVE BILLION to put stupid f***ing hockey on TV than to invest in this team.

Wait, are people upset we didn't sign this guy? Lol

Residual effect from the non signing of Chapman and Yu Darvish.

He's no Chapman but he's a starter (then again so was he). Features a fastball that can touch 94-95 and a good breaking ball, which I'm tempted to say is a slider but it could be just a fast curve. He was one of the top (in other words, the only capable) starters in Cuban Baseball.

He's not someone to freak out about missing, lol.

I'm pretty sure a team like the reds who have a pretty good collection of pitchers can identify talent.

I'd rather give up Sanchez to get a strong SP than commit $30m over 7 years to an okay pitcher.

From what I've seen and read of him.

Guess I should preface that with an "in my opinion." I didn't think he was worth quite this much.

Damn, even with top 10 payroll in MLB?

I would say it's more likely one of his family members has had to clean up enough puke from 20-year old Canadians on a resort vacation so they all think we're drunken lunatics here.

Dude it's pretty common knowledge that the best job in Cuba is resort work serving fat Canadians because you can make tips in a day the covers more than a month's wage working in a real profession. That's not a slight on your people, that's a slight on the economic reality set up by the s***** government.

"We really liked the player and we made a competitive offer but in the end it just didn't work out"

Jays offer: 3 years 2.5M

AHAH.

AA "Yeah, thats fair. We scouted The Player, we talked with The Player, but at the end of the day Dollars and Term just didnt line up for us"

Real meaning: When we passed around the communion plate, Buerhle, Bautista, Reyes, EE, didn't put in enough money to match the Reds' offer.
