eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Anthony Gose doesn't ring a bell? Brett Lawrie doesn't ring a bell? Keep going
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Brian Jeroloman, Balbino Fuenmayor, David Cooper... we've had a lot of recent top hitting prospects.
tercet Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Pompey wont be much imo, so don't get too excited.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 How the f*** are you guys missing Russ Adams? lol

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Not to say I know otherwise. But how the f*** so you know? He's pessimistic, don't let him get you down
Caper Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Nope Jays are even stingier with their hitting prospects. They had no problem bringing Lawrie up.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 ITT I learned the Blue Jays have had success developing hitting prospects.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 ^ = Decreasing ^ = Increase No wonder Cuba's economy is in shambles.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 ITT I learned the Blue Jays have had success developing hitting prospects. no one said that

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Author Posted June 27, 2014 No wonder Cuba's economy is in shambles. But we survived making love to your wives when they come on holiday.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 They had no problem bringing Lawrie up. After a full season at AA and another half season at AAA. That same timeline you are looking at Pompey debuting in 2016 maybe a call up in 2015 in Sep if all goes right.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Pompey will be on fan590 in 10 minutes. I don't think Pompey/Gose should be in the same breath. I think Gose' chances of being a regular are over unless he fixes his swing very soon. He is still a great 4th outfielder. Pompey will be a regular. I could handle Gose batting 9th and starting in CF, come 2015.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Can't believe no one's mentionned Brett Wallace yet. Now that was a hitting prospect.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Hate to get over excited but... September callup if he hits well at AA??? He's got to be protected in the rule 5 draft at the end of the season, so while it would be ultra aggressive even if he does hit well... It wouldn't be out of the question.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 No wonder Mexico's economy is in shambles. FTFY I also might edit every post in this thread to say "and he's Canadian"
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 FTFY I also might edit every post in this thread to say "and he's Canadian" This should be mandatory for all Pompey posts
