After seeing him send Navarro in what was an absolutely moronic decision (had a perfect angle on where the ball was, none out and it's NAVARRO running) I don't understand why he's still here. He has made numerous poor decisions - maybe we were spoiled with Butterfield before but man, Rivera's just bad. Who knows what sort of heat he takes behind the scenes, but obviously it's not enough because he continues to make mental errors.

The possibility of Navarro having an inside the parker probably influenced him.. got caught up in the excitement. I doubt he waves him home if the game is closer.

You want to make a statement that you mean business, fire this guy midseason. Just infuriating to me - guys has looked clueless out there too many times.

he's still learning. Butterfield is one of the best in the game, but when he started he was "send em all butters"

give it time.

Maybe "you" doesn't want to make no stinkin' statement? Just a thought.

cause 3rd base coaches matter even less than bat boys

that's a bit over the top... but just a bit.

100x this. rivera can be pretty stupid sometimes but i didn't really have a problem with sending him in a 5 run game. i mean ffs, ITS NAVARRO potentially GETTING AN INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN

you know how tired players would get if they had to pick up their own bat...they'd never make it to third

this is true. Navarro was looking for the buffet half way to third. he was done. he was probably more surprised he was getting sent than we were.

not sure how to embed tweets...

Davidi Dioner Navarro says no ill-effects from trot around bases. “I’ll kill Luis if he sends me again, but I’m ready to play tomorrow."

You really don't realize how slow Navarro is until you've sent him home on a play Gibby could waddle home and score on. No fault on Rivera there, fatso is just slow as f***.

I don't see the problem, yes he made a mistake but i don't recall any other mistakes on his record.

He has made many mistakes that have left me shaking my head. Obvious ones, not just chances that were worth taking but didn't work out. Last night was "hilarious" as people say because we won easily, but we were only up by 5 and just a couple days ago we blew a five run lead in one inning. Obvious mistakes like this shouldn't happen.
