John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Do catchers usually close their eyes when catching the ball? Surprisingly... Yes.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Defense killing us... Unbelieveable
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 That's on Edwin, Tabby. Francisco made a fine play there.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Ugh, you gotta make that play...
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Eddy should have had that one. Let's hope they don't score here.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Lol... Ruled a hit... That scorer is an idiot
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Dickey please keep your composure here...
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Surprisingly... Yes. Strange. I would imagine keeping your eyes open would come in handy when catching a knuckleball.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 That's a ******** call. EE f***ed that easy play up.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 It just sounds funnier when you say it. Everything sounds funny with a Mexican accent. http://i.imgur.com/y6m83Sk.jpg
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 And that's what f***ing happens. The Jays just keep shooting themselves in the foot. Keep gifting them free runs boys.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Of course that costs us. Stupid f***.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Poor play already costs us a run... Not surprised Team sucks
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Strange. I would imagine keeping your eyes open would come in handy when catching a knuckleball. He can't really help it, specially when guys are swinging, it's just a reflex.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I hate to jinx it but it shouldnt take long with Dick on the hump. ;-)
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 On the bright side, Dickey's knuckleball looks great early on
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Strange. I would imagine keeping your eyes open would come in handy when catching a knuckleball. Or any projectile coming at you at 90 mph. It's just a reflex thing. I think they only close their eyes when the hitter swings though.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Frazier couldn't have got in that far in front of that out. He was just jogging in.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Frazier couldn't have got in that far in front of that out. He was just jogging in. guess not even close...and he was running much harder than I thought.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 The knuckle ball looks to have extra knuckles today. I hope he doesn't use his FB cuz I am sure that will get lost in the stands. The high strike zone should work well for Dickey - he has it tough when it is is small zone. He hasn't done baldy thru the 1st - that Encarnacion error really hurt.
